I always rush Mek when I play Necro. It's a fantastic item on him, and since you should be in a 2/3 role you'll finish it before the supports have a chance to start one. Once it's completed you become incredible in early teamfights, so you'll usually want to get aggressive before your timing window closes.

They see that Death Pulse has a heal component, and decide Necro should lane with the hard carry and heal him to counter enemy harassment. Of course, Death Pulse is completely unsuited for this; it's primarily an AoE nuke with a secondary AoE heal. Using it as a single-target heal just empties his mana pool for very little effect.

The Living Armor remake looked OP as shit on paper when it was initially revealed, but it didn't work out as envisioned.

Icefrog changed it to what everyone thought it would be like, alongside lowering the cooldown and mana cost, and here we are.
 
That feel when you join a normal MM game and are palying vs a 5 man clan stack who procedes you decemate your team with their co ordination and team play

My isp fucked me over like that in the past, 10GB/month up until 2010, just ridiculous, they claimed fastest internet in the country... Too bad you could exceed your cap in 24 minutes...
They claimed only pirates needed more than 10GB/month lol, when a few hours of youtube would put you over the cap.
Now I'm on an isp with 500GB/month so it's pretty much impossible to

Finally decided to play a game as Treant yesterday after all the talk about his revival...god damn was that a fun game!

In the laning phase you hit like a truck, and I offensively used living armor to boost my survivability when I ran in for last hits or harass. I was lucky enough to lane against folks without a disable which helped, but that carry was out of consumables in no time and respected the shit out of our lane for the rest of the laning phase.

Was also really fun to snowball our Weaver and let him live forever in engagements. I was actually physically there, but all forest-stealthed up in the middle of their whole team, throwing overgrowths as needed when full-on backup showed up.

...granted, this was on a smurf account to play with some other newer Dota GAFers so the quality of the people we played against probably wasn't that good, but as far as giving me the feel of the potential for Treant...I'm a believer.

Of course this just means that he's going to get nerfed, finally. I think upping the mana cost to 50 or 60 would go a long way to reducing the spammability.

I had a guy who was freaking out at a teammate for stealing his cs

he was autoattacking creeps and barely even getting last hits >:|
 
I think Necrolyte has one the higher online win rates. Since everyone thinks he's a support I guess that means people are making that work for them, even though on paper support Necro seems very weak.
 
So I called out a shitty Silencer who went mid and literally didn't leave mid the entire game and got capped for communication for 24 hours. I really hate this game sometimes.

You'd probably want to liquidate your TF2 inventory for keys, sell those on the market, then buy Dota keys and work from there.

From what I can tell, people having action taken against them from reports that aren't deserved doesn't at all seem to be an issue with this game, which is great.

Maybe you just lost your cool a bit too much?

hmm that sounds complicated plus I'm not sure if my stuff is worth much, according to bazaar.tf most of it sells for any weapon and the rest adds up to maybe 3-4 keys. I think I sold all the good promotional stuff when they let you on the marketplace.

I'm banned from chat for a week...calling out others for bad play while being a solo player in the team query is a sure way to earn a chat ban. Oh well, bad part is that my future teammates suffer, good part is I care a little less about the game. I really wish the peer review from lol would come into this game. Same behavior never resulted in a ban, and even received perks for my behavior in lol.
 
Is elder titan not allowed in tournaments yet or what? I haven't seen a single game with him in it.
If anyone has a good replay or even better a good casted stream featuring a top player using him in a competitive match I'd love to watch it.

I ask people to do things differently or tell them to stop doing this or that all the time and I've never been chatbanned.
As long as you actually give constructive criticism and not just 'gg scrub tard team l2p' you will never get enough reports to get banned...
The system is pretty well designed to avoid troll reports and random reports, multiple reports in one game don't even stack so you can't be banned because of some band of bros who grief report anyone that they don't like.

If you get banned you were a shit to people so many times that you gathered enough reports to get banned, and you probably deserved it.

I love the ban system in this game, seems to work a charm and the community has vastly improved since it was implemented.
And people DO listen to suggestions or advice since the raging idiots are muted and the atmosphere is a lot less hostile, yesterday I got my team to give up our last t2 , wipe them under our tower with some sentries below the stairs and rushracks and win, after we spent 15 mins banging against a brick wall and were about to lose the game to their split push ,every time we tried to push to their t3 (they had way more pushing power than we did and we had been losing towers like this for the last 15 mins and getting nowhere)

As long as you just ask normally people will try anything once.

Correct. Elder Titan is not in Captain's Mode currently.
 
Just had another game with Bounty Hunter, I think I prefer him to Riki (My previous favorite rogue type hero) He is more versatile with his ranged attack, the passive crit and on demand invisibility.

What is everyone's favorite 'rogue' hero?
 
Mute system works pretty damn well for the most part from what I have seen. Unless you're in the rare position of being chain reported by mumble GAF as a joke, you were probably being a jerk and deserve to be muted. Stop being so aggressive and you wont get muted.

And living armor isn't broken. You just need to pick intelligently against him. Jakiro, Venomancer, Viper, Gyro, Batrider all do awesome. High damage heroes like Luna, Sven do fantastic as well. Play smarter not harder.
