I mean the hosting and panel has been a shitshow coz of James, but that is his appeal, and seems to fit in with how the tournament in general. If PW hadn't dropped the ball with production, and James was the one bringing down the event, I could see it.
I still think the panel is a bad look for people who are not in the Dota community.
Could you imagine how worse the stream will be? the panelists weren't exactly riveting with filling in time and 2gd tried his best to keep things interesting

I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time 2GD has been fired on-air, I remember him hosting some MLG SC2 thing and being let go during a game.

I can see that, I have a friend who has only been following since around TI 5 and thought that Yames was too clowney in comparison to Redeye. I find it refreshing throwback, but I get where he is coming from.
But, this is the kind of thing production should course correcte on versus the sure to be shit show that is gonna happen with the fallout.
