DOTA2 |OT15| anime only please

Been playing solo ranked lately and it's been pretty fun. Muting whiners quickly before they get to you is pretty vital I think. Also, the whining about stacks seems pretty blown out of proportion. I've had stacks in virtually all (if not all) of my games and it made no difference while keeping my queuing times short. I can see why Valve ignores raging 2k players on the matter.

Also, I swear playing safe lane carry might well be the least impactful role this patch. I usually go off lane and a) rarely die/feed and b) farm consistently. That usually does the trick.

edit: Why did Dotabuff remove the KDA ratio?

edit 2: Come to think of whiners, I had an AM in my team yesterday who died somewhere on the map and then blamed me for farming his jungle camp and forcing him into a dangerous position. Cannot believe how delusional you can be. Just how hard is it to admit a mistake? Jesus Christ.

Watch they get last in tier F tourney /s

Its a great tourney for sea to improve, not so sure about it being tier f
Got a directed invite team there

Yeah but I mean there are amateur teams that I've never heard of

And I guess my scaling is pretty stern

TIERS
A: Automatic invite to TI: Wings, EG
B: Should be invited to major: DC, Ehome
C: Wins occasional online qualifiers: NP, Complexity
D: Wins occasional online matches: Navi, Fnatic
E: Semi-pro: Veggies
F: Amateur team: Natural 9, Max X

I've had ranked games with duo stacks. Usually it's a 5k player with a 2k buddy. Now since for them it's party MMR that it affects they hardly care about the results in most cases. You're telling me that in a 3.8k avg game, with both sides having a duo stack with similar MMR average. That one team having the 2k player playing carry or mid against the other team with the 5k player on the carry or mid will not influence the outcome at all?

So you're saying that there is no difference between a 2k player and a 5k player?

It's more of an issue in unranked I think, since I often get 4 stacks. Everything is fine and dandy until their worst player starts to fuck up, then it's blame the person not in our stack instead of our friend for the loss. When it's 2 people stacks I don't really have a problem, but would still rather wait longer for a game than play with 3 and 4 stacks.

Wonder if Matu likes playing support or is just doing it for the team. Curious about roster changes once roster unlocks after Boston.

When I have a good carry and/or mid to support I do.

Supporting in pubs gives me trust issues.

Supporting can be the best thing in the world, but there are those games when your carry is trying to finish a pair of boots at 15 minutes and you are just hoping someone else will abandon soon

if u cant win solo queue games as support it means ur legitimately not doing well enough at it, you cant just blame it on bad cores

I play support, I know bait when I see it m8.

I think the times I'm most on tilt is when I give up mid to someone who demands it and then they're completely impotent at the role.

I don't completely disagree with you here, but you have to admit in most games in a ballpark 0-4k range it's much more difficult to control the game as a support, especially in the ever frequent case of you playing solo support in charge of all wards and everything because no one else will buy them (but on the plus side you get the tomes because no one else will buy them). It is certainly easier to take control of a game by yourself as a core than a support. Not saying it can't be done, but it's very few and far between. If a support is doing their job, then their whole team is snowballing/in a spot where they can win the game. You're almost never going to encounter a situation where a team can obviously look and go "That support on the other team is the problem."

I do actually believe you can support your way up, but I think there's no denying it will be a more difficult road than playing core. That's not to say never pick support, as you should absolutely pick to what your team needs. I'm not a great support player but I will pick what the team needs if 3-4 people decide to instantly lock cores.

I don't always blame it on bad cores, because I know I'm bad as well.

It just makes it easier to do my job when I'm getting help from people who are good (not smurfs, just good for the mmr range)

I just need to start playing 4 or 5 games a day and get in the groove

Don't agree at all

There is a reason why High MMR players do not smurf and play support heroes typically.

Hint: You have less control of the game as a support. Early? Yes you can rotate and gank etc. But even these ganks typically rely on the cores to be ready and in position. The support job is essentially to put the carries in a position to carry, after that they rely heavily on the actions of their carries.

Thus, supports rely more heavily on competent cores than a carry relies on competent supports.
