Think about this for a second. Son Goku. Kuririn. Kienzan being translated as 'Ki Disc Cutter'. I never thought I'd see the day I'd be reading this in a book released by FUNimation.

Nice, I was actually just gonna look to see if anybody took pictures of the stuff inside of it, but I guess I just found that here. I can't wait to get my hands on it in a few days.
 
Watched the first two episodes, and the video & audio are flawless. I honestly can't tell the difference between them and the Japanese Dragon Box singles I own. And the packaging itself is one of the classiest DVD packages I've ever seen. Really sturdy box, with three books inside. Two contain the six DVDs, and the third book is a 40 something page book that is just awesome.

Buy this shit!

Is that what they showed back on Cartoon Network around '99-2000? That's what I liked.

On one hand, I want this set because of it's awesome release, but I watched it first on CN so I liked the English openings and the English music.

Fuck no, it practically makes the show worth watching at times.

I don't mind shit like Vegeta powering up for 10 minutes when there's something epic playing in the background.
 
I prefer the original JP soundtrack, too. The music added for the american dub made took the fun out of the series, imo. Yeh, the original music was that good to me.
 
I'd get the dragon box but Kai is so much better simply becuse it cuts out all the filler makeing it a better show in general

There's too much variety and distinctiveness to each of Faulconer's tracks for it to be called butt rock. Devil May Cry's music is more like butt rock.

Well, it's certainly a different tone than the JP soundtrack. But the dub music was a huge part of what I liked about the show. It's so ingrained in my memory that I could name specific scenes associated with any random track :lol

Unmei no Hi is no good?

One of the greatest insert songs in the history of anime is no good apparently.

:lol

The dub screwed up Gohan's SSJ2 transformation worse than any other scene in the entire series IMO. Gohan thinking to himself before he transforms is horrible. I gotta say, I liked the choice of music they used when he was transforming, but Unmei no Hi brought something fucking magical to that scene. I get goosebumps every time.

My Dragon Box isn't here yet. Modern Warfare 2 is doing an okay job making the wait more bearable :lol

What is it exactly? There are so many DBZ releases I have no idea. :lol I was waiting for a possible Blu Ray 'ZOMG ULTIMATE EDITION AGAIN' before I bought them. Should I get this one instead?

The definitive release

Original uncropped aspect ratio, optimum image quality, original music, etc. Ignore any other R1 release aside from this.

Man the first thing anime creators need to learn is that there doesn't need to be somebody freakin singing something stupid over every dramatic moment.

Also every theme does not have to be a j-pop song.
