So I did a quick research.

And turns out the DBZ wikia says you're right.

Too bad I remembered the actual scene, where it's nowhere stated Bulma invented it.

The source for the wiki is ... A crappy videogame for gameboy.

0 mention of bulma and this comes up a second before he said she invented the time machine, so he had no reason not to mention her if she did invent that medecine.

The change to blue really doesn't make a difference. Honestly. I'm not a massive fan but Bulma has went from green to blue. If they make it blue it's likely to show he is Bulmas son. Additionally it could change with age. I was a white blond child and now have a dull brown colour. It could be the exact same thing as that.

I think it has, if you count the two movies instead of the first 28 eps. GT opened up so strongly though. Those first five eps... I still hope Super goes for the space adventure angle at some point.

Story wise, absolutely. GT had a more consistent animation quality, but the choreography was consistently boring. No fights in GT come close to episodes 13, 14, 38, 39, 46 and the second half of 37 of Super.
Super's animation quality seems to be continuing to improve as well.

Yeah, they're supposed to have the same hair color, the anime goofed up to begin with by giving Bulma blue hair in the first place and then keeping Trunks' hair purple.

Makes Trunks stick out next to his mom and sister.

Youre god damn right. Legacy of goku was CANON! Because they were GOOD GAMES.

I think there's a photo floating around from 2013 of him with some Toei staff from the lead up to BoG. He doesn't get his picture taken much and he doesn't really go to conventions or even events specifically for Dragon Ball.

Yep, went up to the final Kid Buu fight.

It's one of my favorite DB games, and (somewhat relevant to this thread) one of the few DBZ games I can think of that actually makes Trunks' trip back to the future to fight the Androids and Cell playable. Really underrated game.

I don't think he forgot anything. He's colored Trunks' hair purple plenty of times even as recent as stuff for the Time Patrol Trunks stuff.

If anything, coloring Trunks' hair blue was either to "fix" the error and make him consistent with anime Bulma, or just help differentiate him from Kid Trunks.
