Type 戦闘力53万 into the Yahoo Japan search engine and Freeza will show up. Kind of random promo but okay.

Saw this on Famitsu. Part of a DB Super browser promotion featuring Freeza:

Wait, is this Yamamuro's art? Cause this is new art, it's not Toriyama's.
Why is his hair purple?

In the other images he had the same color earrings as demigra, dark/red eyed like the mind control stuff from demigra, and now he's on the a promo for db heroes?

We've not seen him with red eyes and he's just being added to Heroes in the next update, just like how every new character gets added to the game...

I agree that Goku Black is from the Demon Realm. He's gotta be, that green ring all but confirms it. Glad they're finally exploring the Demon Realm for en entire saga as I felt Dabura was kinda wasted.

That begs the question if Dabura is alive in the future timeline. We see Mai fighting with a shotgun so there has to be some henchman and bosses for the rest of the cast to fight. Wouldn't mind Gohan vs Dabura 2

Just makes too much sense for Black to come from the Demon Realm. Can't see it being a creature from another universe or anything. This creature seems demonic like others from there.

It's not Demigra related. Toei didn't even trust for viewers to have already watched BoG and RoF.

After noticing how Fox was credited in games that included BoGs content, I guess the remakes were more about getting rid of them in future licensed products.

I don't think that's Demigra either though. He's a Xenoverse original character, not DBO content, so he certainly had nothing to do with Toriyama.

From what I've read it was Toriyama's idea to retell the movies for those who may not have seen them. Which makes sense since Japanese don't really buy DVDs apparently, so they wouldn't buy the movies. In fact, the original Dragon Ball movies didn't even come to DVD until the early or mid-2000s, and the finding them on video was extremely rare.

As for Demigra, I highly doubt he's in Super. If he was, they would have also used Time Patrol Trunks since he has been billed as the original Future Trunks since Dragon Ball Online. Toriyama is obviously doing his own thing.

I know Xenoverse isn't DBO, but the fact that Xenoverse basically co-opted DBO's story suggests to me that Xenoverse itself isn't far removed from actual canon (and may, possibly, supplant DBO now that the latter has been shuttered).

We'll see next week, I suppose. But the signs are there, and, to me, they're really compelling. If it's not Demigra, it's 100% someone else from the Demon Realm.

I don't see how you can make that conclusion. Xenoverse can easily happen well beyond this point in Future Trunks' timeline, and this could even be an origin story for how he meets the Supreme Kai of Time.

If they tie this into XV I will be surprised and impressed.

It really can't from what we know. Trunks is obviously not part of the Time Patrol and Trunks in Super is older than Time Patrol Trunks seen in Online and Xenoverse. It is also suspect how much Toriyama was involved with Dragon Ball Online, and even then, Xenoverse isn't Dragon Ball Online even if it takes elements from it and Demigra is exclusive to Xenoverse.

Also, why would Toriyama takes elements from a video game when the only character he has taking as his own is Bardock.

Whoa, slow down! That's not even remotely accurate. The events of Xenoverse take place in age 850 - waaaaay beyond the current timeline of Super. Trunks' age is never directly stated AFAIK. Super still doesn't contradict those events in any way.

I know Bardock is the only thing from Toei that Toriyama has taken, but I don't see why it's impossible that Toei staff bounced ideas off of him and that he accepted this one. I mean, it's out there, but I won't discount the possibility until I see what happens. Plus, y'know, a lot of Toei stuff is either worthless filler or, in the case of the movies, directly contradicts canon in the first place, neither of which is the case for DBO/Xenoverse.

Or it could just be that I'm really, really invested in Xenoverse and want to see it become an actual thing in Super. I dnno!

Why the hell did the art and animation do such a 180°? That PV looks amazing.
It would be pretty funny if everything in the future was well animated and the present was bright and had less frames for everything
