It feels like he is giving the middle finger to everyone in this thread.
fuck you, fuck you,and here's some for you too.
When was the spirit ball used in the canon? I remember it being used in the DBZ movies.
It wasn't in Dragonball, right?

It's weird that we never got Toriyama art for that original design from the opening and got it for this look even before her debut. Also, although they kept her base design in the shot of the Pride Troopers, they removed the transformation scene itself.
Like I mentioned before, it makes me think she was originally designed by someone else, but Toriyama overruled that design with what we're seeing now. Maybe they'll reuse the original design (with no LSSJ transformation) for an unrelated fighter though since they'd need as many designs as possible for the tournament.
Jesus people watch the OG Dragon Ball!
I'm too lazy to go back and find the post (this thread moves fast) but someone today commented how good Yamcha's current look is and it's a shame he isn't getting some action screen time with it. I agree. Mostly about his clothing. His hair, I wouldn't mind if maybe he had a shorter look but the hair is fine.
I don't think a white/grey color combo has been used for a character before. Yamcha rocked white through that long-sleeved shirt with the black pants during the Trunks arc.
Yamcha copying what was a kid's style 10 years ago. Sad.It's basically this costume.

The fact that they've shown us that they can still make stuff like this hurts more than anything
We need THAT in Super!

Goten doesn't torture his enemy's, only for them to get the upper hand.If Goku found out that Chichi fucked Yamcha for Gohan, he'd probably be relieved.
Clearly he likes Goten better.
Yamcha a saiyan confirmed
It's not that they can't, it's a time thing. Super started with almost no preproduction, so they've been fighting that since the beginning. Episodes are made in less time than most other anime because of this. The reason each arc after the F arc looks better than the last is because they're able to push the preproduction for each arc further back, which also makes it easier to get more staff on board. This arc feels like a pretty huge improvement, So I don't think it's going to be terribly too much longer till the show is consistently great looking.
I doubt that since One Piece has a better pre-production and its episodes are not consistently great looking. It think you mean consistently decent looking. Which I think Super reached in the Future Trunks Saga since even the worst looking episode wasn't ugly except for a few frames.

That's because Toei spends no money on One Piece.
The biggest misconceptions those unfamiliar with the anime production make is that the issues of the anime are due to budget.
That's not necessarily the case.
It doesn't matter how big the budget is if the production schedule is short, the animators are sub-par, and the series director is mediocre.
EDIT:
On that note, let me tell you youngsters about the production committee for the anime and all the stakeholders involved.
The stakeholders are:
Oda, Shueisha, Toei Animation, Fuji TV (the channel the anime airs on), ADK (advertising agency), Bandai, and other sponsors.
Any major decisions for the anime and other animated media go through them. If even a single one of them rejects a proposal ( for example, a long filler arc), it doesn't happen.
Fuji TV would never agree to put the anime on hold when it still does good ratings. Bandai also wouldn't agree either because they can promote new OP merch and goods through the anime.
It's a flawed, archaic way to do business and it's hurting the anime and the staff involved.
LMAO! Maybe in his own manga he'll get SSG.
It helps that one piece now has a separate director for animation and character designs. It was absurd one person was doing both.I'm not caught up on One Piece, but from people who follow that show's production I know that the show has a pretty solid quality overall and it gets great animation a lot more often that Super does.
I would say you're wrong about the Future Trunks arc, we had episodes like 67 where half of the episode looked bad, this arc is where it has reached the quality where the worst is only parts of an episode. Super's production is has big issues and its dedicated staff still isn't as big as you'd want for a show like this, so there's still a ways to go. It's getting there, but it's not there yet so we'll still see improvements to the show from here.
Completely untrue. One Piece has a very talented staff and very regularly gets great animation. Money isn't the big decider on a show's quality, it's talent and time.
Toei spends more money on Super than anything else, but that's because they need to do things like have 2 or 3 supervisors for an episode to make up for the lack of time.

Wait it wasn't the same for super? I thought they just made the split as well. Early super looked so rough tho..The standard is usually that the Character Designer is also the Chief Animation Supervisor/Director. It's more of a recent thing that the duties are split, which funnily enough Super already had those duties split from the beginning, with Yamamuro being Character designer and Ide and Tsuji sharing the role of CAD.
Yamcha is pretty much the Japanese version of TFS Krillin.
Once you get that low there's no coming back.

I expect it to be heavily rewritten once we get there.Watching the episode for the 30th time, it's nice that Piccolo actually wants to enter the tournament and it's excited about it.
Filler from EoZ made it seem he had retired from fighting. Hopefully that's not the case anymore when we get there.
I need to rewatch the full Goku vs. Cell fight. I remember it being fine, but I was always more hyped for the Gohan vs. Cell fight.
Cell fight only looked even because cell wasnt taking it serious. He was massively holding back against goku.

Wasn't it more that he just gave up trying to keep up with Goku and Vegeta?
Then why did he die against frieza in rof?Piccolo can regenerate as long as it's not his head.

This was when Piccolo revealed that about his regeneration. His head wasn't damaged, so the rest of his body could grow back from his head I guess. How did he survive when Trunks accidentally broke him into pieces
As a kid I think I enjoyed the Frieza battle the most. The moment Goku went SS was like the best kind of hype I could feel as an 8 year old.Goku vs Cell is probably the best fight in Z in terms of intensity. Gohan vs Cell was a one sided joke. Cell just gets stomped.

Incredibly disappointed Piccolo isn't even at 17's level anymore, despite being far more active in saving the Earth and having access to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber![]()
