Piccolo's just projecting.

This just reminded me that my King Piccolo WCF shipped. I can't wait to get it lol.

I think they just made it up to have a joke they could play off of throughout the entirety of their parody and wasn't supposed to be based on an actual thing that makes sense to point out in the source material.

Season 1 had a lot of that, along with changing character personalities to make them 'funner'. That is how we ended with stuff like the Grand Elder being a senile asshole.

Abridge works best when they stick closer to the original personalties and show the logical conclusion. For example Vegeta and Tien. They have gotten much better in Season 3 since all the new characters feel like their original selves, but their quirks have been up or portrayed more 'realistically'.

I was about to ask who the red haired saiyan was and was going to write a whole fucking rant on power creep if the other universe saiyans could already reach that level if they only recently learned to turn super

Pretty unremarkable art for the most part but that Gohan picture is dope. Love how dynamic it is, most Dragon Ball promotional art plays it really safe...

The picture becomes progressively more mundane and inaccurate as it heads to the right.

When someone's hair falls down you know things have gotten real.

All this talk about Dragon Ball Online made me check out the state of the english server, since the official game closed years ago.

It's actually functional :O .

Brings back memories.

On the plus side you can make dark skinned people unlike the mini game from a few days ago :p .

I've always REALLY wanted to play this game. I'm still salty about it never getting translated.

To those who think that Master Roshi is irrelevent and pointless in this tournament. Most of you for get this:
Master Roshi is no longer the same one that lost against Evil Piccolo by just throwing a Mafuba. When Goku went to train with Popo and Good Piccolo, they sent him to the past when he met the young Roshi without identifiying and knowing each others. At that time Roshi was careless and lazy and spent his time napping and not training. But when Goku came in, Master Mutaito showed him how to use ki and harness it which motivated the Roshi of the past and pushed him to train with Goku and learn that technique (that he wasn't able to use before his death and before Goku going to change the past).
Do you think that Roshi didn't train more from that moment to get even stronger and harness more ki after the new altered timeline?
We didn't see Master Roshi figjhting since that time so we don't know the real extent of his new strength, (unless maybe when fighting Frieza troops with rest of team in Super and in the movie). Now Master Roshi can harness Ki and use its power like any late DBZ character.

Moreover, some may not notice that Kame Sennin, ate dozens of the invigorating paradise plants which are soaked with not only Krilin discharged powers but also with SSJB Goku powers.

I am pretty sure Master Roshi power has considerably increased due to timeline and event change and for other reasons and we are going to witness that in the next episode where Goku is fighting him while unleashing his ki power, something he didn't do/need when fighting slender Buu.

Finally, what will come most in handy are his experience and wits, coordinating the whole team and giving them plans and ideas in such battle royale.

Filler.

What do you mean by filler? You mean that was added for the sole purpose of the anime and wasn't included in the orginal manga?

Well, now we don't know what is the authentic and what is filler anymore since the manga of Super releases after the anime and adds and changes thing over the anime.

Anyway, that filler from the original anime is need especially now to explain how Roshi could harness and unleash ki power like any top of the line DBZ/Super character.

The entire plot line about Goku going back in time in the original DB is filler, you can't really use it to justify something from Super unless Super mentions it.
Roshi trained, it's that simple, you don't need to use a filler plot from the original anime to complicate it. We also don't even know how strong Roshi is right now.

That's not even how timelines work in the Dragon Ball universe. Nothing altered in the past would affect the present.

I was going to say this too.
In Super eveything is possible.
If Piccolo had hard time fighting the elite goon of Frieza while Gohan could end him with just one punch when transforming in SSJ. Now in the last episode, Gohan was surprised how Piccolo became stronger since and he couldn't win against him and then he could even beat him after he helped him unleash his mystic form, all this thanks to his continous training.
If Freiza could get such Gold form l of ki in just 4 months of training.
If C17 could go toe to toe with SSB Goku thanks to training.
I don't see why Master Roshi couldn't be part of the team that gained in power by training too.

Also eating the pile of Paradise plants with his pupils' power still stands too.

Roshi's sister could literally bring someone back from the dead; it's about time he himself becomes competent again!

So, um, Wired Italy has a new interview with Toyotaro... and um... spoilers.
Q: Tell us something about the upcoming Dragon Ball Super arc.

A: I can only say this: do not think you already know the definitive teams for the upcoming Tournament of Power. Even if they have been already revealed".
I hope he's talking out his ass...

I dont know if I agree with that. I fell off TFS when it started to just feel like DBZ with gay jokes and memes inserted.
The only abridgments I like these days are one's that shred the original, like None Piece, Weeklytubeshow, and pokemon bridged.

That is the third instance where such a "hint" is dropped.

Kind of starting to think at this point they're actually serious.

Wait, what were the other hints?

1) magazine scan saying "Are those really the final members of the team ?!"

2) producer interview "Who knows if Goku will manage to get everybody on the poster ?"

3) now toyotaro

I'd have trouble finding the sources but if you really want them I can look for them. It was from last month for sure.

I was already saying I had a bad feeling last week lmao, with Toyo it's kinda confirmed now.

My warning will come true you sinning ningen, let the trolling begin.

I think it's just to get people watching. Like, some might look at the promo material and think "oh, it's those guys, that's cool" and just pass on it but if they say "hey, maybe those aren't the final members ;)" people will go "oh? Really? I wonder who the members will be then!?" and then they will watch only to find out that it is in fact the people in the promo material.

Except they have use misleading promotional material before, and if they wanted people to keep guessing they just wouldn't have shown them all.

Since those bits have the wrong designs (gohan and buu) you could say the posters are the intended team, that Goku tries to get. And will get. Until something happens... To one of them.

Q: I've heard Toriyama has a direct role into your work, right?

T: Not only mine: he supervises every storyboard related to the Dragon Ball universe.

So I guess Toriyama supervises the anime storyboards?

I'm hoping that white-hair transformation they talked about is going to become Goku's final and ultimate form though ...

I love new transformations.
