GT was nice, interesting and all, however Super has Beerus, best character of them all.

Beerus is like a top 5 DB character and Toriyama coming up with him so late in the game really impresses me. I'm much more of a Togashi and Oda guy, but I really love the DB universe and Toriyama in a special way

Whis also thought traveling back in time was impossible.
There's no reason for Vados to know when Zeno would have destroyed the universes without the tournament.

Whis never thought that "traveling back in time was impossible". He was surprised that humans built a time machine.

Uhh, do you have any actual counter argument? Actually addressing my points would be the way to go about expressing why you think mine are invalid. Obnoxious fluff of no substance such as what you posted is not going to get you anywhere.
"Obnoxious fluff of no substance", nice I'm going to use/roll into that.
It's kind of like your baseless assumptions of Vados/Grand priests knowledge/foresight of what's going on.
You're creating imaginary links for your speculation on that "point".

90% sure if you think GT is better than Super, you're a Goten/ Trunks fan.
I honestly think every other character has had better moments in Super than GT.

I guess it's debatable who did 17 better.
I like the concept of adult Goten that GT has, but Goten isn't to bad in Super if he could get more content.

I prefer the villains, the focus on Pan over Vegeta, and the setup and death of a certain character in GT all above anything done in Super thus far.

Plus I enjoyed Goku more in GT gen Super thus far.

The pace of Super is still way too fast imo.

I don't feel like the tournament needs to start any time soon at ALL. The scale of this thing is so massive, there are so many characters and worlds involved... many of which we haven't even met before, let alone developed.

Basically, with the way they write Super, I wouldn't mind if they did another 20 episodes of world/universe building at this point. The tournament doesn't mean anything if I don't care about any of the characters fighting in it.

Me too. These team building episodes have been a high point of DB and Super IMO. I love seeing the heroes interact with one another and the universe building.

That's exactly what it is. It does nothing to advance the discussion in any meaningful way.

The assumptions aren't baseless, as the "base" was explained in previous comments. There's nothing "imaginary" about it. It's also an assumption to say that Vados is in the know on Zeno's plan and was making an entirely informed statement. And I think that there is less of a "base" to that assumption.

GT had the shadow dragons going for it, but they were really flat. Omega Shenron was basically Perfect Cell, and that had already been repeated with Buutenks/Buuhan.

It also had... what? Dr. Myuu? Baby? Super 17? The villains were not really GT's strongest features.

Also, Pan barely had any actual focus in GT, maybe early on, but later? She was useless. Trunks is pretty much the same. I still don't understand why they never had her go Super Saiyan. I mean, in EoZ, it was pretty clear that she was more of a fighter, unlike Gohan.

I can't believe GT had the Shadow Dragons and still turned it into the Goku show, a group of villains all with nearly equal importance, a prime chance for the rest of the cast to come in and take them down but noooooooo

I wanted to like Pan. I remember watching each episode, and thinking several times that in the next episode Pan was going to do something, whether it'd be tap into some type of Ultimate form or SSJ.

I don't hate Pan as much as most people do, she does have some good moments, but she was disappointing.

Yea, she should have been the second coming of Gohan but she never did anything. I mean shit, she was flying around the world at 2 years old! How did they make her amount to nothing?

You're a cool person

I mean this kinda stuff only came in Super, and Super will probably be the one to actually do something with her.
GT really fucked up with Pan and Uub.

The sooner Gohan gets thrown into the abyss, the better.

I hate her at the last part of Baby arc, she was useless, just crying instead of fighting

What happened to only "privileged" souls getting to keep their body? Why does Freiza get to keep his?

I don't think that was actually meant to be Freeza's body back in Revival F. He resurrected in pieces, after all. If Super's writers treat it as Freeza's actual body next week, it'll be pretty standard for the anime though. They did that all the time with Z's (and GT's) filler hell.

GT really fucked up with Pan and Uub.

They didn't fucked up Uub. They just didn't used him for anything outside of giving Baby a stomach ache and one-shotted General Rilldo. Which is more than Pan did honestly.

my guess is that kale will be really strong but will lose her sense of reason so a more tactical approach would be best against her.

The are assumptions and thus imaginary, not based on facts.
You just walked up to a random person on the street, accused them of not knowing what they are talking about and then refused to provide actual proof outside of assumptions.

I watched this because someone said goku wanted frieza to join them.
Mid way through the episode theres like some really weirdly drawn new characters and ones a super saiyan? were they just designed and animated by a separate team?

That's the way Universe 6 Saiyans are supposed to look, it seems. They aren't as bulky as their U7 counterparts. Watch next week's episode, there'll be a surprise.

I thought so for a while, too, but Renso looks pretty buff. I suppose it could be that someone at Toei just didn't get the memo that Toriyama didn't want U6 Saiyans to look like that.

I'm surprised at these filler comments! This is the first arc of the series im genuinely enjoying so far. Love seeing the focus on the other universe characters and the other Z fighters not named Goku. It's nice to finally see some focus on female fighters too even if it's minimal.. hope Kale has a big role in this arc.

My money is on Krillin. Dude is a chump. Protecting him most likely will lead to 18 getting eliminated shortly after him.
Nah after all his focus and giving him two episodes of Krillin trying to be relevant and the moment with Goku last episode he is not going to be the first, more than likely Tien since he is just an afterthought

Nah. No way. It's going to be Tenshinhan. At least they bothered to show Krillin developing new moves and shit and gave him character development. He's going to hold on for at least a bit--they wouldn't have done that for nothing.

Tenshinhan though? Dude was getting completely schooled in his "recruitment" episode, continued to get schooled afterword, and unlike the others they're not even bothering to act like the guy's trained or got anything new to offer or anything, unlike most of the others. Writing's on the wall; guy's totally going to be the first to go unless they throw a huge curveball.
