Would have been fun seeing Frieza and Goku interact with those weird Baba fighters from DB.
He's been acknowledged a few times, but we haven't yet reached the point in the story where he was introduced.
Currently we're 3 years and about 5 months before Uub's introduction at the end of Z, but he's been mentioned twice.
Here's the a Reddit post explaining itAhh, I didn't realize Super was set between the Buu saga and the final episode of DBZ.
DBZ
Age 774, September 7 : Shenron erases everyone's memories of Majin Buu.
Dragon Ball Super
Age 778: Gohan and Videl are married, and Videl becomes pregnant with her and Gohan's daughter, Pan.
Age 778, August 18: The events of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Battle of Gods Saga take place.
Age 779: The events of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F and Resurrection F Saga take place.
Pan is born.
Age 780: The events of the Champa Saga take place. The God of Destruction of the sixth universe, Champa wants to have a tournament between universe seven for their Earth.
The events of Potaufeu Saga take place.
The events of the Future Trunks Saga take place.
DBZ
Age 784, May 7 : The 28th World Martial Arts Tournament takes place. Goku leaves with Uub to train him

Toriyama just really hates Buu lately for some reason. If Toriyama really wanted to troll someone, he would have made Freeza replace Gohan, who had to go for a conference.
Wasn't Pan born before Resurrection F?
(And I don't just mean in Super.)
Toriyama just really hates Buu lately for some reason.
He hates Tenshinhan so much he let him stay just so he can get his ass kicked in seconds.
I was one of the four people on the planet excited for him, but he's literally been less than worthless
He's such a nonfactor it's not even funny. Instead of showing why he should be on the team they've done nothing but show him get embarrassed.I'm surprised he let Tien stay at this point since he hasn't really done anything major with him in years.
Hey he might make a villain look good, a proud tradition for non-saiyansSame. All the Tien stuff has been hard to watch this arc. I'm hoping he's given an ounce of love in the tourney... but I'm not expecting it.

or at least pull a kikoho and take out some scrubs
That's prolly the best to hope forIs it too much to hope for that they One Piece it, and have everyone pair off with a rival and have a badass one on one?
Probably notSo is it possible Frieza's golden form is burning up his time back in the world of the living?
Like what happened to Goku?

Depends if Tory or Toei (Toeiyama?) remembersSo is it possible Frieza's golden form is burning up his time back in the world of the living?

Come on Elfly.
Tien has been outclassed for 3 decades now.
Their dedication to humiliate Tien is quite impressive though.
I think they are doing this to end the debate of Krilin being weaker once and for all.
I see no other explanation.
That was Goku's fault.Foreshadowing

Exactly how do you think Goku will learn a lesson about teamworkThat was Goku's fault.

I'm betting that's a likely outcomestill thinking that Goku loses to Jiren and the final fight is Jiren vs some random ass remains of U7's team
prolly a tired Freeza, Piccolo and Krillin
Because he left Tien to fend by himself while Gohan was multitasking and he never was a team playergoku learned a ton of lessons this arc and yet he still got his ass handed to him by Piccolo and Gohan
That was Goku's fault.
Tenshinhan tanked a hit from the now second strongest fighter in Universe 7. Stop downplaying his accomplishment!
Vegeta and 17 has been demotedWhen?

Goku > Gohan > Vegeta > The rest.

I know was JokingGoku pretty much confirmed Gohan's fourth strongest at best when he told him not to worry about Frieza, because him and Vegeta could handle him
Because he's not a puddle even though Gohan was likely holding back not to cripple him let alone kill himHow the hell was that a tank?
Personally I still think it was tame compared to Z and the original DB.
Though this is what got me from reading the article:
Wat.
How the hell was that a tank?
Since when did Gohan become stronger than Vegeta?
I know was Joking
Gohan had to ask Goku to transform while Goku did for 17 (even if it was vague how strong 17 is with both of them holding back) and Vegeta is forever destined to be 2nd place
How the hell was that a tank?
It's not like Gohan was trying to kill him or anything.Because he's not a puddle even though Gohan was likely holding back not to cripple him let alone kill him
Why do people always gotta be ignoring the fact that Gohan's been training for over a year. The one night was to awaken his warrior spirit and get his Ultimate form back.Since 1 night of training was enough for him to have Goku go SSB+KK to defeat him.
17 was a genocidal teen with attitude while Gohan was sparring and needs Tien to be the worfTo be honest, I was thinking Gohan was stronger til that line myself.
He lived through that, hell he walked away from that.
I want to point out 17 hit Trunks like that, and Trunks didn't weather it as well as Tien
