Dragon Ball Super |OT6| Put your back into it.

I'm telling you, the Universe Survival recruitment is its own arc. The tournament's going to be another arc in and of itself. All the budget will be saved for the important fights. When we fight Universe 10 the animation quality will go to shit.

I better see some sick af Gohan shiz.

We got the izuna drop before, now we need him to super the Mystic Windmill Shuriken.

But the arc wasn't really lacking production wise. Most episodes looked and had nice animation and choreographer, some of them are easily among the best in the show. Super has never been as consistent as it was in the recruitment arc.

Regarding the tournament, I'm hoping for 15 episodes minimum.

Honestly though. That short bit of animation during the Goku vs Krillin fight was probably the best looking fight choreography ever in the series. That was just too dope.

It would be the stupidest thing ever if the tournament is shorter than the recruitment arc. Like I would be severely disappointed. It just wouldn't make sense to me.

25 episodes on recruiting characters for the fight, and then 10 for the actual fights? It's got to last 25 episodes minimum for me to be happy.

All I want is a long arc

But what if the tournament isn't the the actual purpose of the arc? What if the real purpose comes right after?
Also the recruitment arc is episodes 83-96, so 14 episodes.

You are mad men if you think it's gonna last long.

Most DB Super fights last like 4 minutes if you cut out the talking and cuts to other characters and what not.

This is a non stop tournament it's gonna go fast with insane animation I'm thinking.

Which is fine because we'll probably have an evolution of the arc itself after this tournament is done with more battles later on.

Think of a video game intro like Budokai but non stop for 20 minutes... That's a lot of shit going on. 3 episodes of this caliber is enough IMO.

I expect at least 1 episode dedicated per fight for each member on the U7 team, the major fights will be 2 to 3 episodes. They've been hyping the tournament for awhile so I'm expecting it to be fairly lengthy.

I think they'll space it out more, focus on smaller battles and have a B story back on Earth with Goten, Trunks, Marron and maybe even Yamcha.

Can we talk about Frieza for a little bit.

Why did he have to be brought back in pieces when those pieces where turned to dust by Trunks anyway? But you can bring back a person from the dead who has been turned to dust as long as he hasn't been sliced up beforehand. How does that make sense when the end result is still the same in both scenarios?

I bet they're going to introduce 17's son as well.

And maybe his adopted son, too (who is later revealed to be Cell reincarnated!)

Or something, but I don't think the tournament of power will be just non-stop fights.

Probably as an "out" to explain why Freeza didn't immediately attack Earth. That and Piccolo would've likely sensed Freeza's power then and there and tracked him down and kill him.

That is how I want it too, all of these fights going on at the same time but each episode focuses on a different character each time.

I think it's the best way to make it feel like this is all going down in only 40 minutes as well

Iirc the start of the palace invasion to the conclusion all took place in a pretty short amount of time as well, and I felt like it really worked

Can't Frieza's race survive in pieces? For example, he survived being just a torso and was able to have parts grafted onto him to become 'Metal Frieza'.

So, presumably, dicing Frieza up wasn't what killed him, the evisceration was. So when he was brought back to life he was in the state he was before the killing blow.

Or having Frieza in pieces is just funnier.

Frieza can survive in pieces, yeah, Trunks' ki blast is what killed him

There's only one person who gets to body Vegeta, sorry.

Yeah probably what it is. Just wondering if I'm missing something.

Hmm... It still brings up the question of, why would it matter if he was sliced up beforehand if he was till turned to dust by the end anyway?

Well, sure, if the storyline evolves into something else I'm fine with that. I should've specified I don't mean 20 episodes of non stop fighting. I mean just a long connected storyline, rather than the 20 episode arcs we've had this whole time.

I'm hoping that because Vegeta hasn't had so much focus lately that they will paint him in a good light in the tourney (i.e. no jobbing lol)

E: regarding the freeza thing, I think the dragon will bring you back to life in your last "living" state. So like Vegeta blew himself up, but he wasn't brought back in pieces bc he was dead. Freeza was still alive in pieces, and it was the last state he was in before he died, so that's how he was resurrected as well. Kind of like how he dragon can only revive you in the spot where you died

This arc is going to give the guys in the audience flashbacks to high school, where we tried to gracefully break the question of who is the best Sailor Scout without being sure how our manly men buddies would react.

Can't decide between Mercury and Venus. Mars was cool too.

Vegeta will job, Gohan will job, everyone but Goku will Job, all previous jobbers is what makes Goku angry to reach his new Mystic God Ki form and team up with Hit and Freeza to be the new Trio de Dangers.

Mars is the correct answer.

I'm guessing 6-12 episodes for the battle royale and the arc not ending with the battle royale.

First episode: scrubs get wiped an masse, down to a dozen fighters

Second episode: several decent one on one fights, lots of big names names get tossed. Freeza betrays them and gets waxed.

Third episode: Jiren enters and bodies everyone but Goku.

Fourth and Fifth: Goku vs. Jiren. Goku wins through plot armor.

Sixth: Goku declares his intent to bring everyone back through wishes, grand priest says no. Goku shrugs it off and asks for another tournament with the remaining universes, cementing his place as the biggest idiot in DB.

Oh my gosh I made a breakthrough.

There are two bodies. The divine body, and the wolrldy body. The divine body grows and changes alongside the worldly body to an extent. So it you get cut up before death, you can still be transported to your divine body if you're a hero or need to be tortured. When you get obliterated by a ki blast, it sends it directly to "another dimension". When Shenron revives people, he uses the remnants from "the other dimension" (along with whatever might be in the worldly realm) and revives the person in their worldly body. This is why if you get brought back via Baba, and die, you die forever. Because that's your divine body dying! The halo indicates that a soul is occupying a divine body in the worldly realm.

TWO bodies, ONE soul!!

CHECK & MATE

Flawless. Call me DBZ's Einstein. Game over. I figured out Toriyama's world before he did.
