He's been in base form a whole lot.
But then they cant drag this thing out to its end. It just looks more stupid if Jiren is as powerful as they're hyping him up to be as he could probably clear out 90% of the combatants in an instant but instead, they just let him do nothing and let 7/10 of their team get dropped out of the arena.
I don't even like Vegeta but he should have been the one in this episode.
I like Ganos, such a cool design and name
Hopefully he'll do something memorable

A lot of people here complained about it at the time, citing Toriyama's interview where he said Goku would never transform into it again after the ritual, in spite of him using it a second time in the movie itself.

Now that I've seen this episode with the proper context, I find it a lot better than the previous episode.
Actual Strategy being used certainly helped it, even if I don't care for SSG returning.

Why can't Dyspo be powerful? Did people forget that he was easily out speeding the monster in episode 85, it was because he was caught off guard that he got grabbed. It was also demonstraited that the monster was really powerful since it took multiple hits from the 3 Pride Troopers there.
He probably wasn't near them, and he couldn't have known that Kahseral and the others were in trouble during the beam struggle anyways since nobody could see inside of that pocket dimension thingy.
I don't like God coming back either, but it's pretty easy to rationalize why he hasn't used it since BoG, for Hit I doubt God's speed would be enough to break the time skip and he needed speed and power, hence him using Kaioken. For Black and Zamasu God could have been useful, but you could also argue they needed the power too and maybe Goku hadn't figured out the bursting between forms thing yet.
I want to reiterate, I don't like that God came back, but it's not that big of a deal, it's more of a minor annoyance than anything. I would have liked some explanation in this, but it's whatever.
He was using Blue to attack and using God to keep up with Dyspo, though not very well.
This in combination with the most recent chapter of the manga being very similar to the anime outside of Vegeta being at Beerus' planet to train makes me feel like they might be making an effort to make the anime and manga a little more similar.

Mostly just don't like the recycled "pride, I'll be #1" stuff they keep doing with him regardless of his development in the Buu arc. And Gohan is too pure to be compared to Vegeta...

Yeah, agreed in both accounts. Dadgeta from the Majin Buu arc was great, and I too don't like his pride and #1 moments that much, which is why I hated how he behaved at the beginning of this arc, claiming to act on his own and disregarding teamwork.

They both went blue, but they made them look like jokes so it didn't feel necessary since they mopped them up in SS2.
And Kale wasn't even denting Goku in blue, so again, another time of unecessary expense.
And shit, he should have used it against Zamazu. Dude is immortal but not that strong. Only Black needed blue.
Like, all the show has to do is put these things in or explain them better but it chooses not to.
