He's stronger than Goku.

Outside of his built, what does he has in common with Superman?

- Alien
- Part of a justice league
- Can shoot energy out of his eyes
- Wears tights
- His team includes a lasso user, a cyborg, and a speedster (edited)
- His God and Angel are references to Joker and Harley Quinn

You don't see the intentional similarities? And then seemingly he has some sort of steel form, which would be taking the Man of Steel moniker quite literally, tho this remains to be seen.

Personally I find the fight sequences and Beerus wank in the manga really boring. Goku's characterization is also a step back from the anime.

About a quarter of the chapter was just Beerus wank

In the Anime it served to show the weird abilities they might faces, show the stakes, character development for Gohan and some cool fight scenes

Here is just Beerus wank

I will be fair and say we learn about different GoDs

It's still a boring scene

At this point I'm guessing Toyotarou won't even include Buu... which is a shame because his fight was fun and still one of the best in this entire arc so far.

I like the manga version of events more than the anime. It's DB, so nothing makes sense, but I feel like the manga at least tries a little harder to explain certain things. For example, it seems like the games the 2 Zenos play being complicated by too many universes is what spurs the idea to destroy most of them which I find a lot better than the single Zeno in trunks timeline (or the Zeno in the timeline where zamas and gowasu check on that planet in the future) suddenly having uncharacteristic patience and just waiting an eternity for no apparent reason before actually pulling the trigger. I'm not sure if the anime even tries to address this issue or if that was just made up by the fans to try and make sense of it all.

Who shot energy out of their eyes and what steel form?

Also, that's fan assumption that U11 God and angel is based on Joker and Harley Quinn, especially since those two act nothing like them and U11 is only similar to Harley Quinn because she has pigtails.

Yep.

Goku's gonna get his shit kicked in by Jiren.

Gohan tho he's gonna rise the fuck up.

And get his shit kicked in.

Y'all are kidding yourself if you think Goku is gonna win vs Jiren

Now Gohan vs Toppo..

Tengen Toppo Gohan Lagann

Gohan fighting Toppo is the new, Tien will fight the U4 bugs.

Of course Toyotarou changes the story so that Goku asking for a tournament is actually a good thing. By adding the scene with the Zen-ohs pondering the immediately deletion of eight universes, he completely removes the consequences of Goku's selfishness. Instead, Goku's a hero who saved one universe rather than the jackass who got seven deleted because he likes to fight a bunch.

What a fucking hack.

To be fair Toei did that as well

Toyotarou just made it clearer

To be fair the anime backtracked on that as well.

the anime says the same thing, it brought up that everyone should be grateful to Goku because he gave one of the universes a chance to live where as before Zeno would have blown them all to HFIL

...I'm guessing good boy Bergamo's moment where he tried to prevent multiverse erasure in the preliminaries didn't happen, huh?

I think one Supreme Kai (Universe 1?) said that. And his universe isn't even on the chopping block! That's not really a backtrack, so much as a pithy opinion from someone with nothing at stake. The participants clearly feel differently.

Nope. All of the GoD are fighting instead.

Loved the Supreme Kai who was teleported while adjusting his clothes lol. This chapter of the manga was very interesting. I'm guessing the recruitment will take a good 2 or 3 chapters.

The argument that Zen oh would have forgotten about the erasure was always stupid anyway, and saying that it might have taken another million years is some "doesn't effect me don't care" bullshit lol

Vados said the same thing

In the manga, it looks like the everyone will blame Goku and Beerus anyway. It's just more clear to the reader that Goku actually did a good thing here. Of course, if he hadn't brought the future Zeno-sama, they wouldn't have decided to destroy the universes in the first place.

it was Vados

and how is there any difference when clearly none of the GoDs in the manga feel any appreciation to Goku either, they hate Goku and ended up gunning for Beerus because of it. No one is grateful to Goku in both versions, both versions make a point that Goku isn't at fault and instead actually inadvertently did something "good".

For a lover of Justice Belmold is kinda of a dick but not surprising with Zamasu and the evil looks he gave

Lol at one of the girls being jealous of his Angel

Also Sidra seems to be less lazy than Beerus and more involved just really bad at his job

Manga changes have been suprisingly good this arc, lets hope they stick with it.

Zeno being so close to erasing universe 7 and Goku popping in at just the right moment coincidentally saving them all after Beerus told him not to go is quite ironic. Zeno also comes across as more competent here, sure he still acts childlike in nature, but he competently talked about Universe growth and what to do with them which the anime didn't do as well.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how Toyable handles the recruiting of everyone. I'm sure he'll skim over a bunch, but it'll be interesting to see.

It looks like Android 21 is going to be the
villain for FighterZ but I still have a hunch that Black might end up being the real villain of the whole thing

My thoughts on the manga chapter;

I liked seeing some more stuff with the GoDs in their day to day

I liked the GoDs bringing up the fact that there are two Zeno now

I'm mixed on the Zen Exhibition match, on one hand the anime version was great, it gave us some cool Buu action and was a pretty big moment for Gohan's character. On the other hand it's nice to have differences between the anime and manga and seeing the GoDs in action is cool. I think it's a bit too early to yell Beerus wank, it didn't seem to portay him as massively stronger than the others, it's just that he's able to dodge really well thanks to his body being able to think for itself. He seemed like he had to put some real effort into getting out of Mosco's grip and I'm sure the next chapter will show him having a bit more of a hard time. Also the whole thing about Goku playing the role of the villain in the anime was great for that version of the story since he was actively fighting, the endgame of it was Toppo challenging him, in the manga the GoDs are still blaming him and I wouldn't be surprised if Toppo still challenges him, but in this version it doesn't really make sense for Goku to actively play the role of villain like he did in the anime, at least not yet.

Ultimately I think it was a good chapter, I don't know if I'd say it's better or worse than the anime version, just different, and honestly that's what I want from the manga.

Yeah I think it's written better this way. In fact I think the anime wanted it this way but by the time they tell you what Goku did is actually kind of good you're already too flabbergasted by everything. By having Zeno about to kill everyone and Goku interrupting it keeps our enmity on Zeno.
