It was a fully single player experience during the DQM: Joker games on the DS and the 3DS, if I remember correctly. I always played it by myself and never had a problem accessing anything. Is this a single player game?
I ask because I previously enjoyed the DS DQM 1 and 2, but then too much of the content is locked behind multiplayer content. If i can get all the content without multiplayer, I might consider getting a Switch for this.
Treasure wasn't too bad. Kinda shallow and underbaked, but I had fun with it. Lots of cool fanserviceMay pick this one up, looks much more up my alley than treasure was
It was certainly a nice surprise. Psaro is my favorite DQ villain (my username is based on his NES name), so I'm stoked for this. Can't waitSaved the Direct, imo.
Turn basedIs this an action game?
(Like not turn based RPG)
Am interested if so
The gods have finally heard my prayers! Oh, how long I waited for Dragon Quest Monster game!!
Day one for me! Can't fuck wait!
Daddy Sony, no match for Mommy Nintendo. Is this exclusive? If so, I call anti-trust on Nintendo.

It’s getting to be bullshit at this point.Where is DQ3 remake?!
Yep, they keep announcing other remakes and even DQ Monsters game, but DQ3 is nowhere. It’s getting to be bullshit at this point.

Square is closer to Sony while Enix is closer to Nintendo.Daddy Sony, no match for Mommy Nintendo.
Oddly enough, the trailer that played in the Japanese direct was completely different.
Turn based
The DQ Monsters series has been around since you were a kid. Glad you discovered it.I've been DYING for a monster rancher type game since I was a kid, I hope this doesn't suck!
Is it comparable? Do you decide what to feed them and how to train them and affect their stats? The DQ Monsters series has been around since you were a kid. Glad you discovered it.
It definitely has some similarities, but it has a lot of differences though. Both are turn based and you can train to raise stats and teach new moves. It is slightly different in that you get stronger monsters by fusing at a certain point like in Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. I only played the DS version but it was open world-ish and had more exploration than the Pokémon games at that time. I do remember the Joker games having gym like challenges though. You also had a starter that evolved throughout the game. I think the best part is the battle are 3v3 and relies a lot on buffs and debuffs and team compositions. Is it comparable? Do you decide what to feed them and how to train them and affect their stats?
