Dragon's Crown Opening Movie

If there was a "Dungeons...and Dragons..." voice over, I probably would've touched myself. That whole intro gives off the same vibes as D&DA's intro. I mean I know it's intentional, but still. Diggin it.

Man, Kamitani can certainly design dragons.
Thank god for this and Dragon's Dogma, Skyrim had tainted my view too much

Hype! Can't wait to get D&D this month to tide me over can't wait to play this. Not sure if it will overtake Muramasa on play time or not only time will tell.

I kinda wish there was something other than the (albeit great) synth music.

The art is phenomenal but it feels like something slapped together in after effects. It doesn't feel moody or old-school enough.

I know the game itself will be great but that opening just isn't doing much for me.

As much as I'm not a fan of the character design (I'm not getting political, I'm just saying I don't like the design), but the rest of the art seems really great. Almost like a high quality Monty Python animated sketch.

Man I'm starting to have a major Guardian Heroes vibe now.

Dungeon and Dragons or Guardian Heroes, either way I do want!
If i'm not wrong somewhere was said that the inspiration for this game was the king of the dragons(if you think about it "king" -> "crown")

lol, dragon's crown >>>>>>>>>>>>> diablo 3 imo

You say that as if there was any doubt. :)

He said he wanted to continue the tradition of games like Golden Axe and King of Dragons. I think that was Japanese humility for not mentioning the D&D arcades, in which he worked personally, and are a MUCH more obvious and direct inspiration.

Incidentally, playing Princess Crown is quite interesting in that it seems like the missing link between the D&D arcade and Odin Sphere; it has a lot of elements of each, and even some that are in both (like tiered ring menus) and weren't immediately connected in my mind. It's for example funny how equipment works as a mix of both, including the bonuses they provide, and equipment pieces being both ring menu items (OS) and easily breakable by being hit (D&D). It also contains the seeds (heh) of the seed and cooking systems of Odin Sphere, albeit much simplified.

Here there are some new artworks(sadly no hotlinking :( )

wyvern and vampire are awesome!

Those are amazing, and I also love their take on the Wyvern particularly. The giant beetle is also awesome.
