Did I listen to the same album that everyone else did? Drake has gotten boring as fuck and Take Care only extends this further into slumberland. 40 makes hip hop beats for naptimes at retirement centers.

How is his post stupid ? Give us specifics - since you always demand them from other people
On my phone, but him talking about Drake thinking his group is a gang. Also read the post yourself, its obvious what is stupid.

i listened to the leak as well... and i agree this is a solid album... definitely "after the party" music.

i'm waiting for the official deluxe edition.... like big sean album... it could complete it... make it come full circle.

Great album, just want to also say the beat We'll Be Fine is incredible. It must be experienced on a good sound system.

and those that keep saying Drake is soft, please tell me when Drake was rapping about gangbanging and selling cocaine? Did you not hear his first album?

Domino i just find so profoundly stupid in every way imaginable. He is the only one from Gaf-Hop i find lacking so much, intellectually, that i can't suffer his posts any longer. I also do not fuck with the Gaf-Hop thread any more, too many new people talking out their ass.
Damn.. everybody is leaving there...

Why the hell is J. Cole constantly being compared to Drake?

Ross verse >>>>

eh it was decent.. I don't really like how much the beat was switched up for his entire verse. I really wanted to hear him spit over the same part Drake did.

Also lol @ the "maybach music" before his part...silly. This isn't a mixtape.

Alright, sitting at 1.5 playthroughs now. It's great. At least 4.5/5

Even Wayne comes off really inoffensive on his feature.

I'm gonna buy the special edition CD. If Watch the Throne came in a case made of solid gold, Take Care should come leather bound and smell of rich mahogany.

People hating on the Dre verse: LOL

Album was really surprising. I think if he put The Motto on it, it would have been even more solid. Half the album was good the other half was decent. Starting second listen now

Quality takes a dip on the second half, but its not a huge dip.

Favorite songs so far:
Shot for me
Crew Love
Marvins Room/interlude
Underground Kings
Doing It Wrong
HYFR
Headlines

Thank Me Later had about two songs i liked, so this is definitely better, for me.

Kendricks verse is kind of disappointing. He's not a perfect fit for that beat and his trouble flowing over it.

Drake has some fucking sick lines on this album. The one about negatives/photos specifically.

I liked it well enough, but it was kinda underwhelming. I really only liked The Weeknds feature. Ross/Wayne/Minaj/Andre were all various degrees of hot garbage. Although Waynes verse on HYFR was decent.

It's crazy how my issue with Drake way back was that the dude never had a consistent image. This album establishes him pretty spectacularly in one person and it's easily the one best suited to his strengths. When dudes like YCMB type dudes like Birdman drop in just to spew random shit, they feel like the ones out of place, lol. Its so great.

You take out Doing It Wrong and move around Shot for Me & The Real Her so they're not such slow points in the record and you got really great record here. The beats are fantastic - the run from track 3 to 11 is totally listenable (although maybe Lord Knows can be moved around too).

So for those who have already listened to it, how much of the typical dreamy production of 40 is on it? Does it overmaster the whole album?

Kampsy getting salty as fuck. Stay classy.

Seriously? I'm not a fan of Drake at all, but don't come in a thread and post 2 words. You have to elaborate.

It is the Kampsy effect. One cannot articulate themselves because they are dumbasses. Kampsy still uses full sentences, although filled with 4th grade intelligence. This poster has gone farther, the two word post.

Where is all this negativity about Gaf-hop coming from?...Did I comeback just in time to see the downfall?

Kampsy found out i put him on my ignore list. He started getting really personal and attacking my mixtape cover and basically trying to get to me. It was quite hilarious.

Naw man, we're alright..... though we are missing that Kamp v. Recon dynamic.

I seriously can't see why it's so difficult to articulate on why you do or don't like an album. Even if it's just a few sentences.

The whole thing was garbage. What was good about it?

I don't know I liked what I heard. Something about colorblind-grass in greener-put you in a boise state (blue field). I thought his flow matched the tone of the song alright. Lil Wayne even sounded alright on the song.

Your new avatar is confusing the fuck out of me lol.

Wasn't it something like, "I'm sick of being broke, so my prescription is to get that paper".

the part that got me was "only fat n!gga in a sauna full of jews". I chuckled. Keep that wit coming Ross.

God Forgives, I Don't. Coming to steal the AOTY at the very end. Bookmark it.

oons oons oons oons oons oons oons oons

...

oons oons oons oons oons oons oons oons

Also cosigning that Ross verse, one of Ross' best in years.

Well, I'm surprised.

I wasn't a fan of TML but I am feeling this, close call but I think Crew Love is at the top right now.

I am pleasantly surprised.
