Drivers in Florida

That's only based on car crashes. Here's the real list:

And it's the same, with Florida on the top, every fucking year.

I've never driven in Florida. But based on all the Florida license plates I see, I'm gonna guess they don't use turn signals nearly as often as they should.

It's not that we don't use turn signals, we use them only to fuck with you. You see if we're in front of you, we'll slow down and never put on a turn signal until after we've made the turn. Or, if you're trying to turn into the main road, people will put on a turn signal and then not turn so that they almost t-bone you while you turn into the road and then honk at you for a mile.

People in Florida use turn signals to fuck with people and that's all.

It seems like dumb methodology to rate based on Google Trends. Unless you have actual statistics about traffic enforcement, stick to what is verifiable. The number of actual DUIs and traffic fatalities in Florida are pretty much in line with the rest of the country.

Holy shit, they sure do love drinking and driving in Vermont! Strange how drivers there are way more likely to be drunk, but they have the same rate of fatalities as any other state.

I live in Seattle now but grew up in Florida. I haven't driven in Miami a whole lot and it is definitely bad there, but I don't find driving in Seattle to be a whole lot better. I really hate it up here when someone is gown slow and then you go to overtake them, they speed up to prevent you from doing it. It's happened several times here.

The worst driving experience I've had was in Oregon driving down to Portland from Seattle. Two drivers got mega pissed when I got ahead of them cos they were going slowish in the left line. It was some crazy shit. They increased their speed dramatically, yelling at me, weaving in and out of traffic to get ahead of me.

LA drivers don't let you in the interstate. At least Florida drivers do
you've got those mini traffic lights at the on-ramps in california. it's easy enough to sneak into the traffic grid.
on 95, you've got people going 90 mph weaving in and out of lanes of people going 50 mph. you can check your mirrors a million times and you're still gonna narrowly avoid getting smashed into

It's survival of the strongest down here, no place for compassion or basic human empathy; pure bloodsport.

It's like no one understands 4-way stops either, and drivers blank the fuck out when they reach a roundabout, like they have no clue how to handle it.

This is without snow or inclines even; I can't even imagine how bad it could get if we had those.

South Florida driving is a special type of hell. You gotta realize half the people on the road don't live here full time. Everyone's drunk in a rental or just old going 20 under in the left lane with the blinker on the entire time. It's bad.

That worst driver chart is dumb. Because we get drunk tourists were the worst state? It's not the locals fault we lead the country in DUIs per capita when the entire country comes to South Florida to get a DUI!

I'm in NC and we get quite a few people from Florida up here. I can tell, without looking at the liscence plate, if the driver is from Florida or not by the way they drive. This is on a smaller city mind you, in Charlotte and places like that it's hard to tell because everyone drives like maniacs.

I-95 in Miami is scary af. Then on the city streets you have retired folks mixed in with expensive sports cars that have places to go go go. I enjoyed my time there, but I'd rather be insanely rich and helicopter anywhere I needed to go

Stayed in Kimmimmimmimmi for a week and though Florida had some of the worst drivers I've seen. They speed and slow as if they have no speed control. Like...they'll tail you regardless of how fast you're going...you'll get over to let them by and they never pass.

Florida drivers outside of Florida are the worst, I shake my head when I see a car with a Florida plate up here do so dumb maneuver. Earlier today I was following some sedan from Florida in the right lane who was indicating they were gonna turn right(hey at least they were trying to use their blinker right?) and we went past several driveways without them turning in. Was just getting to that point of thinking of where the hell is this person going when all the sudden the right turn blinker turned into the left turn blinker and they shot over from the right lane into the left lane and a block or two later across the road into some shopping center. Okay then

I just drove down to Fla to visit my parents last month and it was terrifying as fuck. People will merge directly in front of you going 100+ mph without warning. Even simply changing lanes on I-95 can be dangerous because of people coming out of fucking nowhere to merge ahead of you from the other side.

As someone who has to move back to Miami for reasons beyond my control and now has to learn how to drive I AM FUCKING SCARED

I got honked the shit out of for having the ordacity to let someone from a side-road into a flow of traffic that was almost stationary.

That was my take away from driving in Orlando.

Ridiculous..you seem good at it.
Not ridiculous at all. The farther away from a city you go (and Florida is HUGE) the slower (and also worse) the average driver becomes. Hell, in the neighborhood that my family lives in, I don't think I've ever heard someone honk their horn at a traffic light.

-----
Miami drivers are probably the most aggressive drivers in the state. They're generally good drivers, factoring out the aggression and impatience.

Where my family lives? Many slow sloppy drivers that are still aggressive especially the pickup truck drivers who seem to love drifting into your lane or driving along the middle of two lanes.

The biggest problem with Miami drivers is that they don't seem to use the concept of "left lane is the fast lane" like every other city I've been in. So, because slow drivers clog the fast lane, you have fast drivers doing weird maneuvers to get around and creating dangerous situations all the time.

Yes but we want to know how Florida Man Driver compares to the drivers in other states!
