DS /w Dead Pixels...

Sup all. I am wondering if maybe any Gamestop peeps can chime in ...

I purchased a DS tonight with a bunch of games. I fired it up, configed it, and put in Ridge Racer in...

I look at the top screen - at least 4 dead pixels - right in the middle of the screen ARRRGGGH!

Will Gamestop allow the exchange for a new unit, or do I actually have to send it in to Nintendo?

They should take it back, and be able to give ya a new one. I think the warranty on new hardware is 7 days. Depends on the manager, really.

Don't complain. Its not a flaw. Dead pixels only add character to the Nintendo DS.

Anihawk and Stooge make good points. Also:

Exchaning would be quicker and easier, but you can't be guaranteed that you'll receive a new unit that doesn't also have dead pixels.

Personally, I'd send it in to nintendo. They'll repair it for free and have it back to you less than a week after you give it to FedEx (Or is it UPS Nintendo uses for receiving products? I think they use FedEx to receive products, and ship them back to the consumers via UPS, but it could be the other way around....)

When I sent my dead-pixelly DS to Nintendo, it was through a pre-paid FedEx delivery system.

And for the record, they sent me a brand new unit, not a repaired one. Even through in a new stylus, so now I have 3 instead of 2. Got it the THIRD day after having sent my original in.

i had a dead pixel in my first so i exchanged it and the second one also had a dead pixel, but the third time was a charm

gamestop should exchange it, even though they are the devil
