DualSense edge is a POS

Sony's sticks are pretty bad. and the Edge not having hall effect sticks makes it a pretty bad choice for a premium controller these days.

sadly, on PS5 there's way less choice of quality third party controllers compared to Xbox, PC and even the Switch.

I've replaced one Dualsense so far in 4 years for stick drift. So for me personally I'd say they've been pretty solid build quality wise. Sucks about your Edge though. For those kinda money the build quality should be second to none.

Best controller ever. So happy with mine. Outstanding battery life and comfy as hell to hold. It doesn't get any better than this.

All non hall effect sticks are susceptible to stick drift with the switch being the worse contender.

WORST! THE FUCKING WORD IS WORST!..
BAD > WORSE > WORST...

yes, that's of course true, but Sony's specific model of sticks seems to have drift issues at a way higher rate for me. it's not a subtle difference, it's an extreme difference. the amount of drifting PS4/5 controllers I got is growing at a steady rate.

I barely play Switch, so I can not comment on Nintendo's Pro controller sticks, and we all know how shitty the Joycon sticks are.

but when it comes to normal sized analog sticks, I never had more drift issues than with PS4/5 sticks. it's insane tbh.
I have a fucking graveyard of Sony controllers at this point

Just change the sticks to Hall Joysticks, they are already sold for all consoles, and this will solve all the problems.
Mine have been running for over a year now without the slightest hint of drift.

I appreciate the stick module swap gimmick, but for the asking price, one should be included. So far didn't have to use mine after 500 hours of use.

The one and only negative thing I can say about this one is that the symbols on buttons can be way better and translucent (PS style) to prevent them from wearing off.

The wite version with gold d-pad etc. looks cool. I can't say anything else about the controller though cuz I haven't tested it. Not sure if I'll like mechanical face buttons.

These are such great controllers and competes with any controller at any price

Not saying that drift isn't an issue (it definitely is) but I would love to see how some of you maniacs handle your controllers.

I seem to get a lot of stick drift in my left stick often and I tend to blame it on Hell Let Loose

It seems every hour of playing I have my left stick jammed straight up for 45 minutes always running back to the fight so I guess I wear mine out faster

I dunno

never had drift in newer console.
back in ps2 era however, got much drift.
that's it, up to i never lend my unit to those who want to play soccer games, and my stick is fine.

i don't know the correlation though

I don't know if I've just been extremely lucky, but I've never had a controller with any drift that I can recall. I've had pretty much every console since the Sega Master System II. PC controllers either.

But then, I don't eat, drink or consume my pornography on my gaming devices.

Unfortunately every single non Hall effect controller is able to get stick drift, no matter how much money you spend. Having one right out of the box is unusual though.

They want you to buy stick replacements for £20 each.

Two of my normal controllers have drift, for the cost of the controllers they should have hall effect or whatever that new one is called sticks.
They all need suing for this shit (Sony/MS/Nintendo) until they do something about it.
