Dungeons & Dragons Adds Disclaimer To Some Legacy Titles

The team behind Dungeons & Dragons issued a statement this week regarding some of their legacy titles and the content within them.

"Simply put, we messed up and we're sorry. Wizards of the Coast is constantly working to be better, and we have a lot of work to do, especially so in repairing trust with our community. Thank you for continuing to use your voice so that we may continue to make meaningful change. "


The disclaimer reads:

"“We (Wizards) recognize that some of the legacy content available on this website does not reflect the values of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise today. Some older content may reflect ethnic, racial, and gender prejudice that were commonplace in American society at that time.” "

I played from an older D & D printing from the 70's. I just don't get it...I mean I thought it was a pretty diverse game. I've seen people of different races and ethnicities play the classic. Truly, we live in the age of the micro -agression. I suppose they'll change the term 'Dungeon Master' to something like 'Shrine Narrator.'
