What do you mean by new dude? As in, someone else has taken on the name "Robot Science" creating the same genre of music?
I know the gent doing Robot Science also has another project, Giraffage, but not understanding what you're saying.
Ugh so no real controller support? I thought we were past this. Do I really have to play it with a keyboard? Some are even saying it's better with a keyboard? Wat? A platformer? :/
Well, at least the criticism that not everyone is catered to is valid. Of course, there are the usual ways, Xpadder Joy2Key etc.Yay, some people have different tastes/backgrounds than me!
I meant that Robot Science did the music for the prototype. The released version is a new dude.

Even if the game supported it for some inexplicable reason, analog control is worthless for games like this. You should be running at full speed, after all.edit²: and the usual complaint about mapping software is that it doesn't support one of the biggest advantages of sticks: the analogue movement isn't there because it's mapped to binary button presses on the keyboard.
Turn off D3DOverrider. Or at least disable it for the Dustforce executable. (I had the same problem)
What do you think would be better, a fightpad or an arcade fighting stick?
A stick with awesome buttons is really good for mashing dashes.
I got the eightarc ISO Pearl for PS3/PC, those cheap sticks usually have sticky buttons but if you can mash it hard enough you'll be okay.Which one do you have? What about something like this?

So I saw this on the front page when looking for the Qube demo and decided I had to buy it. Man what an awesome title! Feels like N+ meets Cave Story with plenty of unique traits to boot. Using the 360 controller blows for this, the d-pad is so awful it's not even funny, I may have to find another way of playing it because it's extremely difficult to play a 2D game with a joystick...
Yep, but only after the apex of your jump. I really need to get used to that.I think dash speed is the same as run speed, where everyone really makes up time is that you can dash downward.
Are there any bosses in this game? Or is it more like N+?
So far it's like N+
No demo, no buy. Sorry developers, but that´s the rule now (for me).
Did you bother clicking on that link?

The developers are fine with googling the prototype.
edit: And are we sure those guys in the title art aren't bosses?
Is the prototype close enough to the finished product that you can judge the game by it?
Was the prototype written in Flash? That could be the reason why.I find the full game to be much much smoother than the prototype, personally.

I don't know, it doesn't feel that way. The prototype did have a weird interface/feel to it. The game does evoke "oh it looks like a flash game" type comments, but Meatboy and Binding of Isaac are both flash games I guess? The game is solid solid soliddddd.
