Does the PS2 play DVD+Rs? The model I have is the 50001.

edit: scratch that...just checked and both my recordable and rewritable DVDs are of the +R variety

so mine playes DVD+Rs and (with some work) DVD+RWs

Is there anything special you have to do or do you just make it like usual?

for the DVD+Rs no
for the DVD+RWs I never record them as recordable (never use multisession)

I have *some* trouble with the DVD+RWs...they'll play, but only sometimes
I have to eject the disc numerous times while I'm in the PS2 browser. reset the system a few times if needed.

not sure If I need to do that because the disc is RW or because my PS2 is ooold
