What's the extra content on the new Brotherhood of the Wolf DVD? I have the original release and wonder if this worth picking up. Hell, it's worth it if Monica Bellucci is more easily seen in a slightly improved video transfer. :lol

Flight of the Phoenix is coming out on dvd already? Damn. That just came out in the theaters at the end of December. I'll pick up Spongebob probably. Hilarious movie.

I've already gotten the two I was interested in: The River and My Own Private Idaho.

Are you just dismissing this because of van Sant and/or Keanu + Criterion = *head explode* or do you just not like the movie? Personally, I think you'd have to have a heart of granite not to be seriously moved by it. River Phoenix was incredible.

Dead

well not really...yet
Ill be picking up my own private idaho probably.

Id also buy that 3 disc BotW set if I didnt already buy it 3 years ago in R2 form, jesus that took a while to come out here....

Brotherhood of the Wolf is the most overrated french film ever! :(

I wish I could say Bambi, but I got it since wednesday.

Dare I ask how you guys manage to get these discs early?

Just Bambi for me. I've been waiting for that for ages.

I saw Bambi at a DVD store last wendsday, I assumed it was already out :/

No it is not, that store could get in big troubles with Buena Vista.

Oh, and if you deal with dvdlate.com, be sure to know what you are doing, because their offers are really tempting! But, this url is not redirected to the real site for no reason. I ROTFLMAO when I clicked on it and discovered where it lead me to. :lol

Why couldn't they bring out Mel Brooks' To Be or Not To BE on DVD. I still have to see that.
You know that Mel Brooks only acted in that one, right? He didn't write or direct. I recall it being rather funny though.

Of all the things he was involved with, Robin Hood: Men In Tights is the movie that desperately needs to be released. Maybe a season set of Get Smart too.

Bringing Up Baby and The Philadelphia Story are both great flicks but I just dont see the need to own them.

I had both of mine on order from DVD Planet, and they tend to ship things out as soon as they're in stock, whether or not it's before the actual street date.

Deep Discount, on the other hand, has no problem waiting two weeks to get me my copy of Last Life in the Universe... Ah well. :)

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I didn't like it at the time, partly because it seemed to me like an "edgy" '90s rewrite of Henry IV Part 1. (It came off as somewhat pretentious and heavy-handed, as if van Sant thought I couldn't get the whole Hal/Falstaff allusion unless there was actual Shakespearean dialogue to drive the point home.)

Maybe I should give it another chance, though.

An absolute classic in every sense of the word. Everyone should be buying this movie. Further proof that Cary Grant was the greatest actor ever.

Exactly, this is a film that everyone should at least watch once. I don't think I'll be buying this for myself, but it's my aunt's favorite movie of all time, so I'll get it for her birthday.

I've heard Bambi is 4:3 only, is this true and if so was the original cut 4:3? Cause I want my 16:9 damn it.

Why doesn't Exorcist: The Beginning have the original version of the movie by a different director, the one that was nearly complete but scrapped in favor of a total re-write and handed to a new director? I would have liked to compare the two releases.

Hopefully you'll be smart enough not to waste money on it, regardless.
