E3 2012: Post-Microsoft Conference - your thoughts

Like someone else said. They are just coasting and its shows. No new game series and 2 real exclusive games.

I dont want 2-3 more years of this gen. I wanted a new xbox. No way a new xbox before 2014.

They started so strong and nothing....

Please sony say something about the PS4....

Pretty bad. Not as bad as past three years due to Kinect. But nothing mind blowing here. No real exclusive that I got excited for. Besides the new Gears, South Park was the only interesting thing.

It seems everything was simplified with Kinect, no use to even play, just tell Kinect to do it and its done. So it wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't great.

And please, to all companies, don't make the game demos so damn long.

Spent too much on 3rd party studio/publisher involve.
I'm quite disappointment with some of 3rd party title demonstrations too.

It is MS game show. They should have show more their own games.

South Park was great, RE6 was ok for a linear action game. Everything else sucked.

This wasn't the worst conference I've seen, but it's up there. 3 of the 4 worst conferences I've ever seen have been MS ones including this one.

As far as I know, everything they showed that I cared about was multi-platform: Splinter Cell (Spies vs. Mercs!), Tomb Raider, RE6, and South Park.

Dance Central doesn't need a new version every year, that's digging itself an early grave (though it's probably just keeping up with Just Dance garbage).

I almost died from complete non-interest for Smartglass, sports, fitness, and Kinect.

Fucking stupid. Do they seriously think all the people watching this conference give two shits about Nike and Usher and fuckin' Windows Phone compatibility?

RAGE!

Thought it was fine. Liked: Halo 4, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, South Park, NHL Gamecenter. Wish there was some surprises though, oh well, this gen is almost done.

F

Halo 4, South Park and Tomb Raider were cool. Two of those are multiplats.

You get nothing more than an F for one exclusive.

Halo 4 looked pretty good.

South Park looked great.

Matt & Trey trolling MS at their own conference was priceless.

Everything else was boring or just bad.

It was what I expected. Dregs of a generation that's far outstayed its welcome.

The XBox has gone the way of most other Microsoft products. Allard and Moore kept it from happening, but since they've been gone for a while it's finally happened.

Within expectation, in other words, the only good things were Tomb Raider (though that DLC announcement pissed me off) and Leon being awesome and stylish as fuck. Everything else was boring. And to end on COD as some kind of surprise is, imo, pathetic.

Some neat demos. There was a lot of stuff I liked. The glass table, Nike, whatever did nothing for me and went on too long. Still, they had some demos and showed off more games then I though they would.

Halo 4 rocked my socks, looked very good if a bit linear.

Pretty average. They might end up having shown more games I'm interested in then the other big two. Hope Sony and Nintendo have some surprises.

It was exactly what i expected Microsoft to deliver

- New Features / Services for Xbox / Xbox Live
- Kinect, Halo, Fable, Forza, Gears of War, New Games and the AAA Third Party Lineup.
- No real mention of the next xbox experience

i mean... the 360 is on it's way out... what did you expect? this is not the year for Microsoft to release new info... that's next years e3. This year is just staying the course and milking the 360 for all it's worth.

I think it deserved an 7.5 - 8.0
Generally speaking they did a solid show, but no big surprises.

There were thinks I didn't like Dance Central 3... took too much time...
Nike also took too much time, but it is something I might be interested in, getting rid of those extra pounds :)

Halo 4 had a very good showing.
I didn't think COD was the right closer...
I though smartglass was great. Great to it being platform independent. Really excited about this.

As someone in the other thread mentioned. E3 2012 the year everything at MS' conference got Unchart'ified.

False moments of joy were good. Thinking 'matter' was Portal related and somehow mistaking /misreading/mis-seeing Gore Verbinski as Cliff Belinski. Yup my highlights :(

I root for sony, but im going to be positive and say since they have a new console coming soon this is pretty much whats to be expected. We're at the end of this gen. How much new stuff do you want?

Im sure sony's conference will be similar.

Boring/10

I don't think I care for anything shown. I'm interested in RE6 and even that looked boring. Too many damn explosions.

The good
-Halo 4
The eh
-Splinter cell i guess
The bad
-Everything else
Specifics?
-Nike
-Smart glass on (for right now, only Windows tablets)
-FUCKING USHER ARE YOU EVEN KIDDING ME DON
-SUPREMECIA BOURNE
-Marc whitten pretending he knows shit about westeros
-Everything else was so awful

0-100 scale
30 (30 points for halo).

I wish it could have gone a lot better. :(.

D-

Generally awful. But I am curious to see how well implemented the SmartGlass will be. Definitely some neat capabilities there for now and for down the road.

I had little interest in Halo 4 but it was ok, at least it felt a little different.

Blops 2 looks good and so does RE6. Can't remember anything else
