E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

This game is selling me on a Wii U. Anyone else? When does this come out? Is it a full game or a download?

Zelda Dungeon maker would be the greatest thing possible. I would love this!

Wouldn't it be harder to implement things since it's 3d instead of mario which is 2d?

People are going to do ingenious things with this, I can't wait. So glad Nintendo's finally doing this. I just can't deal with LBP's floatiness and physics, so a nice and precise Mario Maker is perfect.

Does it really matter how many styles they have if they're all going to play exactly like the Original SMB?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it feels like it should be free to play.

well, hopefully they let us change up the physics. i mean, it would be real dumb if they don't.
but it reads like they just simplified it for e3.

I normally dont care about these make it yourself games but this looks really cool. I hope you can upload them online have people play them and then have them leave messages via miiverse.

That level haha. Man Mario Maker seems insanely fun. Hopefully they can add Super Mario Bros 3 and World tile sets in due course.

They all have different physics so it might be too much work and the alternative of playing SMB3 and World with SMB physics seems very limiting.

No, of course it's not. I actually am hugely interested in game development. But I just don't think it's the right time, because E3 has always been for 'selling' complete games.

I think it's obvious that there's a lot of confusion about that section, and that whatever it was they were trying didn't come off.

I would have absolutely no problem with what they showed if it was in a 'Nintendo Direct - Behind the curtain: Proof of concept game designs' or something like that. In E3 it felt like these were Miyamoto's new projects and that they were really strange and disappointing.

you must have hated microsoft and ea's conferences then.

Fantastic little game.

Mrs. translator should be engaging more into the conversation, translating some of the things these guys are saying and giving Tezuka a hint.

Guys imagine a totally new Mario game using the same retro looking graphics as Mario Maker, new worlds, new enemies and stages, all in hd.. Wouldn't you buy it??

I really like that you can instantly drop mario back in wherever when you die. It lets people play even the hardest levels with minimal death screen or extreme frustration if they don't want it.

This seems like something that would work well if it was free to play. Then they could sell different art packs, enemy packs, etc, as well as offer some free ones from time to time to keep people interested. No idea what their plans are though in terms of pricing or whatever though.

They should use this game at job interviews for level designers.

That could be a nice way to find young talent.
I'm sure there are tons of people who want to make games, but they don't have the tools to do so.
Stuff like LBP and Mario Maker helps them test out what they are capable of while having fun.
