EA Invite Hints at Battlefield 4 Reveal on March 26th (GDC)

Please give me a proper successor to BF2, thanks. People can argue back and forth whether BC2 or BF3 is the better game, but as far as Battlefield games go, they're at the bottom rung of the ladder.
Well if we are going by the leaked documents then it seems promising.

Also, no way in hell I go anywhere near MordorHQ once BF4 is announced.

I dunno, that "easier to pickup the game, to take care of players from CoD" line has me concerned. If it's just referring to something like a multiplayer tutorial a la 1943, all well and good, but seeing how much BC2/BF3 borrowed from their main rival, I can't help but be worried.

Haha, it's not going to be pretty.

Bad Company is adored by newcomers and scrubs of the core Battlefield series - so no, dont be like Bad Company. Be like BF3 but with Commanders, 6 man squads, 64 or more players on all formats, squadleader only spawning across all modes, limited air vehicle ammo with resupply at airfields/helipads, and you win DICE.
I don't think air vehicles need any more nerfs, to be honest.

What did they borrow exactly?

Health regeneration (started with 1943, technically), perks/specs, killcam, death skulls, audio-spotting, grenade indicators.

His is a good idea. Remove the armor regeneration and disabling mechanics, make tanks harder-hitting, and replace lock-on guided weapons with systems that require the least bit of skill to operate (BC2's AT4 comes to mind), and you have much, much better balanced vehicle gameplay than BF3.

64 Players, Commander mode like BF2, grappling hook and destructible/repairable AA, satellite command center and bridges and I'll be more than happy. Every battlefield after BF2 was a step back in my opinion.

Im sure thats CG.

The Key art looks cool though.

Goddamn if those are real in game screens... I could see it being a CG trailer or something too. Then again, the lighting is reminiscent of the Deep Down demo from the PS4 event, which was supposedly in engine.

I'd be seriously impressed if those were in game screens. But I'm a little doubtful.

Trying to think of the last time DICE did CG to promote a Battlefield game... they did it for BC2 but I don't think it was something they did for BF3.

If you think about the context though... CG doesn't really make sense. They wouldn't make a big deal and fly around showing CG to people, and Frostbite2 is far enough along you'd think people would be expecting in-engine stuff from them.

That looks absolutely stunning but I have to echo those that said the same ole same ole setting and style hurt it. I think this may be what cutscenes will look like on PC rather than realtime gameplay.
