Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Today only - EA Play (and game pass) members can 'buy to own' Battlefield 1 permanently for free.

More things in coming days.

Over a span of 10-days, members can score big by unwrapping digital gifts in the form of fan-favorite EA titles and content, including Battlefield 1: Revolution, The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack, Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition, 500 PGA Tour Points in EA Sports PGA Tour and more.

Oops.....tried to use an expired credit card to "buy" this "free" game and it failed. PayPal to the rescue.

They also have a 90% off sale for many games on steam. First time 2042 went down below 10$ guessing they're making up for Veilguard sales come next quarter.

Managed to snag bf4 as well:messenger_clapping:

I posted in the Xbox thread cuz I didn't see this thread lol.

Anyway, good stuff. Excited to see Titanfall 2 and Battlefront 2 on there. Played them on gpu years ago but never pulled the trigger on buying them.

What a time to be alive. How convo-fucking-luted everyone allowed this hobby/pastime/entertainment form to become...

Aside from Battlefront II which may still be active, and Plants vs. Zombies which is nice for the kids and family to play, the rest is nothing but scraps and still is dependent on paying for a subscription. It is so generous of the $38B corporation to give us these wonderful gifts for "free!"

These are all permanent 'buy' things, so once you get these, even if your EA Play sub lapses, you still own them.

Anthem - An all-time flop from 2019 that is regularly on sale for $5.
Battlefield 1 - A 2016 game that is often on sale, and is available in sub service libraries.
Skate 3 DLC - DLC from 2010.
Plants vs. Zombies GW2 - Part of a sub service. Often on sale. It's $2 right now on PlayStation.
The Sims Chef DLC - Out of a zillion DLC packs in a monetized game, here is one random one.
Star Wars Battlefront II - A 2017 game. Part of a sub service.

Old software that people have already accessed as part of subscription services, or just already own. Let's act like this is a benevolent act on the part of the corporate overlords, though. Where are the latest 2024 annual sports releases to keep? Latest racer? Action game? Multiplayer sensation? The Sims DLC might be the only thing offered from this generation lol.
