they sould've sent a poet...

yeah it is funny to watch

Agreed, I'm staring at my Wii U right now and I'm not offended by this guys comments. Those defending are essentially trying to protect a sinking ship for no other reason than to protect the company they have some heartfelt connection to.

Well, he's right. Nintendo has always been quite selfish in it's strategy, it has never benefited the 3rd party.

They do get benefits but are not no. 1, obviously the most benefits will get to Nintendo because he's the console maker/1st party software. 3rd parties are actually bitter for this, because in PS3, Xbox the difference in benefits between 1st party and 3rd party games are not that much.

You seem angry? Do you have something to prove about Nintendo?

I'm not the one going around calling people fanboys am I? It just amuses me that somebody who made a point of informing us of his age is incapable of acting it, that's all.

Ok. I am not a Nintendominator. But the people saying that Zelda is not a particulary big seller for Nintendo, needs a serious reality check. Three million sales is a good one!

It simply isn't that big compared to other games that they have, I don't see why that is so hard for you to understand.

BTW, sucks a bit that you can't wear a Nintendo avatar without being labeled a blind extremist fanboy. That's like thinking a guy can't have an educated, rational opinion on soccer because he's wearing the shirt of his favorite team :/

Actually, that is exactly why. It's called having a biased opinion. You may have an educated, rational opinion on soccer, but you will always have a bias towards your team and you will always defend said team. That's why fan is short for fanatic.

EA, please publicly fire this man or kiss your business goodbye.

So have the Wii U fans come in saying the Senior Software Engineer doesn't know what he's talking about yet?

He obviously hasn't used the final dev kit. He is oblivious to the Wii U's true power.

Guys, come on.

This guy's outspoken, so are many of us. Yes, he works for EA and he may should be more careful with Twitter, but it's still his opinion. You don't agree? That's totally fine.

About his comments. He's a Senior Software Engineer. I'm pretty sure he knows more about Hardware and Software than most of us do. Discuss his opinion all you want, but respect it.

And please, don't fight each other. This whole thing here is supposed to be fun, right? Just like video games are supposed to be fun, right? Right?

should have been first, in all seriousness, even with all the crap thrown at nintendo here lately, I might just bog down and get a wii u, just for the heck of it to help them out, man, this is just sad :(

If you do that I'm going to have to buy a million copies of Medal of Honor Warfighter to make up for it

The non-serious nature of this post aside, I'll never understand the notion of suggesting that it's in a platform holder's interest to make it difficult to release games on their platform. Bad blood aside, why on Earth would Nintendo want EA to jump through hoops to get games out on the Wii U? "All right EA. We'll consider forgetting the past and letting you release software on our platform wherein your software will help the cumulative strength of our library and where we'll make money via licensing fees for every copy sold. But what's in it for us?"

Conversely it makes very little sense for a multi platform publisher to not publish on multiple platforms.

If you equate those prior comments with a personal insult like calling someone a moron then we have nothing more to say.

So dismissing multiple opinions opposing your own, based on your belief that they have affinity towards a freaking videogame console, that's fine?

Dude shouldn't have called you a moron, it's true. Perhaps you'd be better off proving him wrong by including some substance in your posts, and backing it up. I for one am looking forward to your post showing that the original Gameboy has a better lineup than the Wii.

Yikes on a day that should have been pretty good for Nintendo with their Direct, it turned out to be a nothing short of a small disaster for the company, all starting off with the aftermath of no EA support, continued horrid WiiU NPD numbers, the GI.biz article on the apathy towards the machine and how bad the best selling game currently does in the UK. And then to top it off we get a tirade from an EA employee.

Boy, what a day!

Just because someone has a Nintendo avatar on a gaming forum it doesn't mean they are biased.

This topic has now lost all meaning.

Nintendomination makes a profit from providing Nintendo fans video coverage of Nintendo games. He is financially tied to Nintendo's success, so he has every right to provide a admirably funny rendition of a Nintendo die-hard's reaction to EA.

Also, these threads are all going to feature the same argumentation patterns from here on out, which is really too bad. I think GAF truly fails when it enters this type of discourse. Some great fountain of gaming knowledge we are not.

Did I call you a fanboy personally at some point? I only implied that fanboys have a tendency to defend there fandom rabidly. Are you insulted by that?

EA, please publicly fire this man or kiss your business goodbye.

No one apart from a small percentage of die hard Nintendo fanboys will care what this guy says. It will not effect EA's business at all.

This is just insane to have an employee for a major publisher talking about a veteran console manufactuer like that. Just wow.

Conversely it makes very little sense for a multi platform publisher to not publish on multiple platforms.

Generally, I agree with you. However, there does seem to be a certain degree of belief out there that some of this software is selling so poorly that they are making little to no money on it. If that is indeed the case, then I would contest that it makes sense not to invest money into a product that won't yield a return on that investment.

I agree, no idea why he is banned.

Thank you for the sanity here.
