I've played it a bit on the commute and thus haven't seen as much of it as you other guys (in addition to being in Europe so it only came out like two days ago).
How common are those new heavy weapons for the trooper? I've got two so far and they kinda look like they're inspired by Insect Armageddon's heavy armor. Not a good choice for tunnels and such though...
Also I like how using a scope pushes the fog back, most games I've played just keep the fog at the same distance so you end up just staring at outlines when scoped. The draw distance is much shorter than on the 360 so that's really needed here though it does get in the way with some rocket launchers. Fortunately huge enemies like UFOs have a much longer draw distance.
I kinda got the impression that homing weapons are more willing to pick new targets now compared to the 360 version?
It's hard getting used to not caring about NPCs stealing kills after playing IA.
