Anyone else been listening to Hollywood Handbook? It's pretty consistently great. This week, Sean and Hayes were the "guests" for the episode. Died laughing on at least 3 occasions. Easily.my favourite Earwolf show after CBB.
It's definitely not that unpopular, they like to fuck around.I like it a lot. Sad to hear it's so unpopular. The show reminds me of the goofy ass radio shows I'd do with my brother on a tape recorder, except executed with orders of magnitude more talent.

The little "rivalry" with the Wolf Den is great. I also like how they often get different guests than a lot of the other Earwolf podcasts. They're not always great, but I appreciate the variety.I know I shouldn't take anything they say at face value, but it took them a good while to get real ads on the show, so I guess I kinda believed that stuff was coming from a real place.

Someone in this thread got me listening to Hollywood Handbook and it's definitely got some funny stuff. A duo w/ two eccentrics and no straight man can get to be a bit much at times, but Sean and Hayes are able to pull it off for the most part. I think it works best when the guest plays the straight character, but it doesn't always work out.
I will say I've got the god damn "I am the very model of the modern Major-General" Pirates of Penzance song stuck into my head thanks to this week's episode.
Mmm yes I could go for a cheeseburger sandwich as well.know what I'm thinking about after listening to this week's CBB? Eating a cheeseburger!
brendon small is too goddamn funny. and borstein was a great first timer, game for anything but not overeager.
I can definitely see where it wears but I think it works most of the time because Hayes plays the straight man of the two within the characters.
Listened to a couple of the Earpop podcasts. I Was There Too was good, but I love PFT and Gourley's great so that's no surprise. Hopefully they can get some great bit part actors once all his comedy acquaintances have dried up though. Listened to about half of The Canon, but I feel like the guy is just spending all his time trying to shout down the woman rather than having an actual debate. He's basically just saying "you're wrong it's actually great" a lot. Not sure I'm digging it.
I loved last season, and this season has been even better. I really like that they're doing a theme with each episode. Not really earwolf-related, but this is probably the best thread to ask: what do you guys think of The Birthday Boys show? I think season 1 is on netflix. Season 2 started recently and there have been some pretty good sketches, imo. The metric I use for sketch comedy is a ratio of good bits to bad ones, usually bailing on any show that has less than 50/50.
I'd say The Birthday Boys is at like 75/25 or maybe 70/30. Plus Chloe Bennet was in this weeks episode, so bonus points there

I still have 20 minutes to go but...it's a bit of a dud ep. Easy listen, Chelsea is funny as always and Seth's character is interesting but never really evolves. Scott seemed kinda off. Decent hangout ep.
CBB best of voting has now begun though, time to start rankin them eps
Every time this thread gets bumped I get excited by the prospect of a new UTU2TM being out.
Fuck!
Trying to think of my favorite CBB ep of the year.
Probably either the Victor and Tiny episode with Jonah and Kumail or the first Claudia O'Doherty episode.
Ooh, or the Andy Samberg/Todd ep.
GOD SO MANY GREAT EPS!
Don't sleep on the horse fights ep

Hmm time to check out this "Earwolf Presents". Matt Walsh and Horatio Sanz are awesome. Haven't heard anything from Chris Kattan since that god damn Corky Romano trailer. "You guys want some cookieees?". *cringe*
2014 Comedy Bang Bang Live Show Bundle
Scott's took CBB back out on the road for an abbreviated tour in 2014, and you won't want to miss out on a moment! Each of the 4 live shows are hilarious and include stops at the Festival Supreme, New York City, and Chicago. Each live recording will also be individually available in the store for $2.99.
Don't want to be a hater, but I really don't like the music episodes of i4h.
And since Never Not Funny is associated with Earwolf now, they do a live show/telethon to raise money for Smile Train. This year it will be streaming on the VPN youtube channel for 12+ hours of comedy gold.
Runs Noon til midnight PST today. (Starts eight hour after this posting)
