OK long story short. I have sold a few things on ebays over the years and have always only shipied to US address only. I have heard enough international horror stories mind you. However, I have this pair of binoculars that I have put on ebay (and Amazon) for 2 months. I have not gotten any bid/offer except this russian guys who has messaged me 4 times. I told him I don't ship outside of US the first few times and today I got his message again.

Code:
Dear ***
Is it possible shipping to Russia?
Many times I have bought binoculars on Ebay from USA,
NO problems with sending from USA to Russia.

I may to pay for shipping with insurance, for your peace of mind!
Best regards, Konstantin.

At this time, I just want to get rip of the binoculars at whatever money I can get out of it. I am thinking if this dude is so dedicated, maybe he is not a scammer? What do you think ebayGAF? What should I do to protect myself. If I ask western union payment, will I definitely not get screwed over? I have never dealt with Western Union before.

edit: well since most GAF think he is a solid bidder, I will take the chance. Link removed. Thanks guys.

Does he have feedback? I've shipped a few $200+ items overseas, but always blocked purchase unless they had positive feedback from similar items.

Don't sell internationally, that's my advice.

In your case you may as well go for it though, since you're going for whatever you can get.

What's the time limit of charge back? I know for check its 2 weeks.

31 days with paypal IIRC. The odds are still low that he's a scammer, but I wouldn't chance it on such an expensive item.

He's also got a lot of (100%) positive feedback though - probably a collector.

Some sellers leave feedback right after payment. He doesn't have any feedback for an item over $30 that's more than a month old.

Check the feedback.

Solid feedback for a year. I'd say the guy is legit.

I really doubt that he pulled that 75 times in a row.

And you can't see details of items over 90 days old anyway.

Didn't notice that, just clicked on the previous link.

You're good to go.

Yeaaah.

edit:Mass editing

Well nobody in the US want a pair of fucking binoculars. ;_; I have lowered the price already.
