*Eye Toy $29.99

This is surely worth getting for all PS2 owners. I'd buy one if I didn't own one already. :)

Don't forget that you can use it with Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, as well as promising games in the works like Sega Superstars and EyeToy: AntiGrav.

I payed signiicantly more for Fzero but I don't feel bad about it.

Get it if you own a cube.

Agreed. Here's hoping for a sequel, despite those disappointing numbers.

Wow...what steals. ::rolleyes::

F-Zero GX for $10 is awesome though. The only good deal on the list (I guess Max Payne 2 is a good deal too, but that's it). YOU ALL HAVE NO MORE EXCUSES.

do you wait till the game comes in to get the shirt, or do you get it right away?

BTW, is this shirt the same as the Gamestop one or different.

Bump. Apparantly some of the deals will last for the entire week, while some deals will last in the two days mentioned in the title

Hmm, looks like I'll be getting Call of Duty ($10) and Wind Waker ($20) tomorrow then.

Don't get Windwaker at EBgames. Get it at Target. It'll be $16.88.

ok, GX for my bro as a present, Eyetoy for me, and i think i may preorder Halo2 if they let me... last time i was there, they claimed the first shipment of the special edition was sold out...

Yeah, the news for the collector's edition seems to be that if you want to preorder and get the collector's edition, you'll have to wait for the 2nd shipment to arrive (2nd week of release). I preordered the regular edition instead (CE doesn't really interest me since I'm not a huge fan). I'll probably check Best Buy or Circuit City to see if they have any CE's around before getting the regular edition though. It'd be nice to get it but it's not a priority for me

The deal with Special Edition Halo 2 pre-orders. Here is the lowdown. (this applys for Gamestop, I have no idea how other chains handled this)

Before there was a special edition of Halo2 we had one reserve sku. After the special edition was announced and we offered pre-orders for it a new sku appeared for halo 2 reserves this new sku was for the regular edition. The special edition's sku was the same as the original halo 2 reserve sku.

As such, all our old ass halo 2 reserves automatically became special editions by default (its assumed that people who reserved t two years ago are hardcore and would want it) but they have the option to pick up a regular edition on launch day.

Because of this our first shipment Limited Edition allotment got filled up. So the second shipment story is very real.

However, we just got word that they upped our first shipment of limited editions so that most, if not all, of the second shipment Limiteds will be able to pick it up on the 9th. As such some stores that previously had it only available for second shipment might have the first available again. its worth checking out.

again the whole sku thing applies only to gamestop afaik.

well, i called around and the nearest EB that had the EyeToy was at the south street seaport, so i went on a nice adventure...

caught the train to broadway/nassau/fulton street, got out and wakled crosstown to the seaport...
walked around in the mall till i found eb, went in and asked the guy at the counter for it...
he scanned it and it came up ad $49.99
i said it was on sale, so he does something (i dunno what) and it says $29.99
so he calls up his manager on his cell to verify the price
verifies and sells it to me
i leave with a smile on my face...

being the cheap ass i am, i decide to walk back to brooklyn over the brooklyn bridge and use my free subway to bus transfer...
so as i'm heading up the bridge, a police motorcycle escort comes down with ...
police_gallardo.jpg

the italian police lamborghini!
wtf? is this thing on tour?

so i continue over the bridge at a decent pace, stopping a few times to look at the view
i finish crossing and head straight till i hit fulton street, then i make a slight detour for wendy's
from there i head to the bus stop and wait for the bus to arrive

as i dip my metrocard in, i am ecstatic to see [1 Xfer OK] on the readout, i just saved $2!

a few stops later, there's a routine stop for a wheelchair bound individual, or so i thought...
the ramp doesn't lock into place properly and gets jammed between the sidewalk and the bus!
the bus driver wiggles at the controls for a while to see if he can get it free
we were stuck there for about 15 minutes and then another bus arrives and picks up the person in the wheelchair
so now, people start filing out of our bus to head to that bus...

and then because of the shift in weight, the ramp just pops up out from being wedged!

(ironically, a woman suggested this about 5 minutes earlier, and the bus driver just didn't even respond to the suggestion...)

so the driver folds the ramp back up and we go along our way, etc blah blah... and i get off at my stop and go home to type this up...
:D

Well I turned $15 spent at overstock.com and $2.15 into an unopened copy of the limited edition of Phantom Brave.
I bless you Wario64.

Sweet, I'll stop by tomorrow or something and see if that's the case

Edit: Er, I have the regular edition preordered. I guess that'll kinda count me out of the first shipment still, eh?

Now the PS2 and xbox versions of Midway Arcade Treasures are both $9.99 at ebgames.com but the GC version is still $19.99!!!

Is there any hope for the GC version dropping to $9.99 online? I'd like to Hori it up!

Anyone know if this deal is the "on the same receipt" bullshit like the recent XBOX deals or can I get the games from different stores?
