See above.

$50 for some games, more money for others. Pretty much what reasonable people have been execting.

So basically EA and Activision games will be 60 and the rest 50. This is good news. PD0 Limited Edition is probably 60 too while the regular one is 50.

Well ebgames.com wont be getting my money this time, they got me with the psp bundle...Best Buy here I come.

they usually only force bundling online.
EB stores forced a $500 "X-Treme Xbox Bundle" at launch in 2001. They will definitely do it again this time.

Not only that, but the PSP launch as well. I clearly remember EBgames forcing bundle in store for that as well. Hell, even the store I work at (KB Toys) had a forced bundle package for the PSP. You had to buy a minimum of three games to purchase the system.

Due to the size and weight of this bundle you will be charged an additional $10 shipping and handling fee.

:lol

Not only are you bundle fucked, we're going to slap on another $10 because we grouped everything together!

Who orders this shit online?! RIDICKULOUS!

eh? not my store. Maybe I got it at gamestop :lol

You know, I can't help but think that the mastermind behind New Coke, the Iraq War, and the X360 sales strategy are all the same person. At $600-$700 for this bundled, all-confusing mess, even the hardcore gamers are going to just decide to gorge themselves on $50 current gen games, cheapass GH titles, and hookers (with the savings) this holiday season.

"bundlefucked" has a nice ring to it, btw.

Retard Pack Bundle = $720 CAD
Premium Retard Pack Bundle = $833 CAD

Mine didn't do that. I put in a pre-order for the PSP at EB maybe 3 months in advance and walked out with no games at all.

God heavens $700?!!

No way!! That's it, I'm probably going to miss out on every single next generation console launch this generation, there's no way I can get one like this. I don't see PS3 fairing any better.

Why is everyone surprised EB is gouging with launch packages? Gamestop will do the same thing. This is how they make their money at launch.

Just go to Wal Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City on launch day and get a system. The mass market merchants won't do forced bundles. Buy what you want. CHOICE.

It was awesome that Sony sent out like a million systems this time, no price padding for me EB!! Plenty of Targets, Walmarts with PSPs.

At least these bundles include first-party accessories. Usually they have crap Nyko or Mad Catz or Pelican products in there too. So...coulda been worse. :)

What I will find humorous is if none of those games make launch.

Yeah, can we take this as confirmation that Microsoft has guaranteed retailers that at least those 4 games will be available on launch day? There's no way they'd start selling bundles otherwise, right?

If not, EBGames is really putting their ass on the line by trying to bundle two Rare games :lol

I'll just wait and see what my local Softwa Etc, says about which games are included. I know for a fact I'm not touching dog shit like DOA4. I'll return the game unopened or sell it off to someone if I have to. But still I think they'll be more bundles to choose from so I'm not gonna panick here. Why isn't Oblivion in the list? Why isn't Madden in there? See what I mean, the list makes no sense, they'll be choice bundles as we get closer to launch.

Do you people only shop at specialty stores or something? You can just go to Target and get your items bundle-free, without lines

Bundle free? Yes.

Without lines? At launch, you're kidding yourself...

because GAFFers likes to bitch. Actually, i'm rather surprised that you aren't doing it too.

If Gamestop isn't forcing bundles why rush to a store like Target (that may or may not sell out) when I have to work a ten hour shift and won't be able to go until after work... I put fifty dollars down and I can stroll in there at my convinience and know that there is a system there waiting for me to pick it up.

That's how I got my PSP. But 1/4 mile away, the EB had sold out before launch.

Both Best Buy and Circuit City were doing budles for Psp...

Theres no damn way I'm going to wait outside a Best Buy or Target and draw a lotto number and hope I get the winning number just to be able to buy a next gen. console. You might but I won't.:b

I've heard enough horror stories about shit like that from 2 friends who desperately wanted a PS2 at launch. I'll take my chances with the bundle and sell off garbage like DOA4,I can live with Perfect Dark,PGR3,and Kameo,I just wish Oblivion were being bundled, but oh well.

You guys could always go to GameCrazy for an X360. They didn't bundle any games with the PSP did they? Though they did do the accesories thing in order to buy it.

Gamestop is the same thing as EBGames now. The bundles are coming from them too, I'd imagine.
I work next door to one I go in there from time to time to ask , The manager is insured with me so I know him pretty well ( he's not a flakey fanboy type) and he has assured me that they aren't doing bundles with preorders...

I'm in for the $700 bundle. I mean I already have $225 down on it... Plus if there are games I dont want, I can return them for games I do want...

Since this is my first XB system, perhaps get Halo 2 and see what all the fuss is about.

Considering the core system is retailing for less than wholesale, I wouldn't be surprised if Target, etc. forces bundles as well.

This makes it painful. I was considering buying another 360 and selling it to some desperate soul come post launch. But it looks like some of these stores are gauging before I get the chance to do so.:lol

Target forcing a bundle, I would be very surprised at that.

However thats just because I can't remember any -- have they done it in the past?

The 360 isn't the PS2, though. This launch is not going to be anywhere near as insane as that. The PS2 launch was an anomaly. It was that crazy only because the thing played DVDs too that so many people were interested in it. That roped in loads of people who weren't normally early adopters. The 360 has no such mainstream feature that is going to increase those people's frothing demand.

Thats what I plan to do but I've never returned unopened bundle games before. Will they allow you to do this,or are they throwing nazi like demands at us for launch?

Can anyone confirm how this works? I really don't want to be stuck with DOA4,I could use that money towards a protection plan instead.

I'm in but damn they just took out most of my gaming crew. Who the hell has $700 laying around in less than 3 months?! Have they not taken a look at current gas prices. If this bundle isn't optional EB games just forced out a lot of customers. I hate how they force you to take 4 games, especially when the XBox launch was 3. If I were a 3rd party developer I'd be hopping @$$ mad.

If I found out that Elderscrolls: Oblivion is a launch game then I'm tkaing my $700 to buy round trip tickets to EB Games corporate and beat down the entire marleting department. They are obviously sniffing paint and could use the reality check. :lol

That and the fact there was only 500,000 systems at launch. I couldn't find a freakin' PS2 for 6 months!! Even when I finally found one at a Kaybee toystore they charged $330 for it!! Bastards!
