I am happy Elden Ring is getting all this praise and commercial success and other games cof cof cof (Horizon FW) are getting forgotten. Is time AAA devs (especially sony's) step up their game design.

I think God Of War Ragnarok has a massive potential to be one of the best games ever created. The chances are over 80%.

Gran Turismo 7 and Elden Ring are among my favourite games of the last couple of years. Elden Ring is a game I'll EASILY still be playing in ten years. The scale and replayablitiy of this game are completely off the scale. I'm excited for the inevitable DLC with more areas

The GT7 score is surprisingly high considering its Edge. Its the best GT, sadly I don't play it much because I still play ER.

I'm 2022 hours into elden ring m and this game isn't a 8.5 imo. I'd give it an 18.5 out of 17.31.

If Eldern Ring doesnt deserve a 10 then i dont know what game does.
Unless you're referencing how strict Edge scores are and you expected them to give a lower score.

Decided to install Norco after reading this, seems like it's good.
Not sure about this Flintlock hype, Ashen was ... interesting but kinda broken gameplay wise and it felt really low budget. I'll give it a chance (since it's on GP anyway) but not expecting anything revolutionary.

It's hardly better than trilogy games and they didn't get a 10 !
It's a 10 compared to other modern games but it's far from perfect and I have some issues with it like repeated bosses, weird balance and so on.
I still had great fun playing it for 90 hours but I am not blind to issues.
I am happy with giving it a 10 but I don't think objective official outlet should close an eye for all the problems

The balance is why it deserves a 10 IMO.
I hate how a lot of games level all the enemies up with you, struggling against some whilst stomping others is what makes Elden Ring a masterpiece.

Not like that. The idea is good. The world does not scale with you (just like it didnt in every pre oblivion games like morrowind) but the amount of souls you get is weird and the time you visit some places can make it too easy.
In limgrave, you kill a boss and get 1000 souls and then it gives 3k souls as a normal enemy a bit later. Or other way around.
I don't think the rewards always match the challange.
The fact that world is not scaling is superb though. I hate that scaling crap

Lol easily a 10. From Software showing up all the so-called AAA studios. Sound design, map design, 3D modelling, all S tier. Gameplay / UIUX you could argue is a bit tired by now, but it's tried and tested solid stuff and with a ginormous game all for $60 with multiplayer, coop and no mtx, loot boxes, in sight.
