We're not talking about signal stealing here, man, so dont' try to downplay it. We're talking about them videotaping the other teams pregame walkthru so they knew every play that was going to be run in the first half. This isn't a "competitive advantage"... it's downright cheating. And the guy that did it isn't talking period. That doesn't mean he has nothing to say... it means he doesn't want to say it.
There are so many things wrong with this post that I don't know where to begin. First of all, who is this "guy that did it?" Walsh? Walsh was a member of the Patriots film team who has made comments about the fact that the league didn't contact him back in September when this started. That's it. Nobody has insinuated that he filmed the Rams walkthrough. When he was asked if he had knowledge of anything along those lines he declined to comment.
Secondly, the Rams walkthrough had nothing to do with their first half plays. I don't know where you got that information, but it's simply not true. From what Golic said this morning and what Jimmy Johnson said this afternoon, the extent of a walkthrough the day before the game isn't even close to that extensive. From what Kurt Warner said, the only plays they went through at that time were some of their offensive redzone looks.
Warner says he remembers little from the walk-through, other than that the offense ran some of its red zone plays.
Even if that practice had been taped and was available to the Patriots, the advantage might not have been significant, as the Rams weren't in position to use their red zone offense until the fourth quarter.
By all means continue to believe that they "downright cheated" with zero evidence to corroborate the rumor.
