:lol What the hell?

I don't care either way, but NY , please don't think you can start shitting on Brady without Boston totally obliterating Eli.

Yes, because the NY Post has never before denigrated a Boston or New York player.

BTW, not that ESPN cares, Mike Holmgren coming back for next year.

More AFC teams have a winning records than the NFC this year. Interleague is very close and this is one of the few years that has happened recently. You were also saying the AFC was weak when addressing what the Pats have done. Look at the quality wins they have. Nobody is even close. If NY didn't beat GB they would have beaten Indy, SD twice, the Redskins, Jags, Giants, Dallas, and Pitt and then even possibly GB in the SB. That's almost all the top tier teams in the NFL in one season but hate on that's all you have to cling to :D
the afc was an atrocious conference this year, thats all i pointed out. The pats also played in an atrocious division this year. The only thing they can write home about is a crippled colts team and the cowboys. Everything else isn't exactly stellar, in fact, if you add it all together, you got:

bills 2x (average shitty team)
dolphins 2x (no introduction)
ravens (with a massive losing streak, this shitty team man handled the pats)
bengals (not introduction)
browns (no defense)
jets 2x (no introduction)
colts (banged up)
cowboys (a nfc team, that scored higher then the colts and other teams this season against the pats)
steelers (sorry, but gets the overrated award)
giants (an nfc team that was on par with the pats)
eagles (an average nfc that was on par with the pats)
redskins (a nfc team that got demolished, nothing to write home about)
chargers (beat them fairly)

yea, that conference and schedule looks like something to brag about. :/

And what are you talking about with greenbay losing in the superbowl? please explain this to me, because in warm weather greenbay absolutely FLOURISHES.

Who to you had a hard schedule then?

What the HELL are you talking about?

Who were the best teams in football this year?

- Colts -- (won IN Indy)
- Cowboys -- (won IN Dallas)
- Giants -- (won IN New York)
- Chargers -- (Beat TWICE)
- Jaguars -- (beat handily)

They also beat the Redskins and Steelers (both playoff teams) and the Browns (who were 10-6). HOW MANY MORE GOOD TEAMS DO YOU WANT!

And BTW I'm a Giants fan.

The Pats beat every team in the NFC east and the top two in the afc south. I don't know why people keep downplaying their schedule.
what do that have to do with their schedules? most of the teams on the pats schedule was below average afc shit infested teams. How can you downplay something that is fact?

The main strength in the NFC East schedule is that they play each other twice. Pats beat them all. I can't really fathom how you think the Pats had an easy schedule, Look at the playoff teams. Pats beat every team to make the playoffs other than Green Bay, Tampa, Seattle and Tennessee. How is this an easy schedule? I really don't understand your logic. The two highest rated teams other than the Pats this year were Dallas and Indy, games the Pats won on the road. Could the schedule be harder? Only if they made a super division with the Pats, Colts, Cowboys and Giants. This isn't happening so to downplay the Pats record saying they had an easy time is absurd.

EDIT: I see your edit. What the fuck is that? AFC is shit infested? Chargers are shit? Colts are shit? Jags are shit? Browns are shit? WTF. You say Buffalo is an average shitty team then can you tell me what a good team is? You are unbelievable.

all i said was that the afc sucked ass this year and the pats division was atrocious, which it is. i gave them credit for the colts and cowboys. But i can't really stress the shitty afc part enough. and if the pats were remotely in a division like the afc south and nfc east, and still go 16-0, i wouldn't be bugged as much from tom petty's bandwagoning ass going around saying "the pats is the zomg awesome".

Read my edit for the first part. If those teams are shit AFC teams can you tell me who the awesome clearly superior NFC teams are?

The entire NFL sucked ass this year. There were a few really good teams, some average teams and a lot of bad teams. Half the league was bad this year.

i clearly pointed out the shit teams on that list. The chargers, colts and jags isn't part of them. :/

I don't understand, you label the Pats schedule as easy yet the AFC South and NFC East teams hard when those teams played a lot of the same teams as the Pats. The key difference is that the Pats won them all and the other teams didn't.

Who are you kidding? A couple of days and you'll be back singing this same ol crap song again. Been doing it all season already. You almost make me want to root for the Pats. Almost.

Great picture and you aren't doomed yet. Whoever is on the cover next week is doomed but I bet SI will have two covers, one with Brady one with Manning.

Which brings us to the greatest football cliche.....it's a fine line between winning and losing in the NFL. Especially if Phil Luckett is one of the officials. :D

Here's the difference:

"Eli sucks! He cost the Giants a football game!"

"W sucks! He cost thousands of people their lives."

I'd say Dubya. Mainly because if he does something right, his detractors will still say he did it wrong:p

Outside of Giants fans it is definitely W.

Eli doesn't give other fans much to either hate or love.

But it is hilarious listening to Giants fans cry about Eli. You would think that he is the qb version of Kwame Brown the way they bitch.

Apparently Jim Fassel is now being interviewed in Washington. Although rumors are that all these recent interviews aren't actually for the head coach position, but for offensive coordinators. I guess Saunders is a bust!

Another weird firing, Chargers Wide Receivers coach Lofton is fired. I actually thought he did a good job developing arguably their least talented group.

oh hell no.

Chambers has more talent than all of Jacksonville's receiver put together!

Tamanon said:
Yes, because I have always championed the Jaguars receivers as talented.

Chris. Chambers.

You can't argue with that.

And don't bring up stats, see what any receiver would do with a million offenseive coordinators / head coaches / QB's in 7 years (and has never bitched). Pure excellence, pure class.

Ok, I don't get this seemingly universal hate against the Patriots. I'm not saying this as a native New Englander but merely on observation. Pats have really come a long way from 20 years ago when they sucked so much that they were largely ignored. I remember in the late 80s when Foxboro stadium was so empty for a game that people were allowed full size barbeque grills into the stand since there was plenty room. Seen alot happen to the team since then. Bill Parcells being the best for really grooming the team. Too bad Bledsoe wasn't a good QB (even if that dick Brady is). SO I really don't understand this hate save for the recent cheating scandal.

I guess it's just natural for losers to hate the reigning winners?

I think the main reason is Bellicheat. He is a huge asshole and doesn't even try to act gracious whether he wins or loses. People like to see nice guys (Dungy) win.

The cheating obviously took the hatred to a whole new level. This is close to the level from which I have been operating since the 2001 season when I was one of the first to recognize the great evil known as Tom Brady, aka Lord of Darkness.

And people don't always hate dominant teams. I don't remember this kind of hate for the Niners in the 80s. People definitely hated the Cowboys in the 90s, but they weren't the most likeable team either and their sex and drugcapades definitely didn't help either.

I agree that Belladonna is an asshole but how is the individuals on the team responsible for that? Teddy Bruschi has done more for 2 local Boston schools than the school system ever did. I know your average football nut doesn't care to see what players do outside of the field but it's just seems very stupid. Especially when I read stuff like the entire team should be placed on a cover of Madden video games so something bad happens to each. It's just wrong. While other past teams like the Cowboys were notorious for severe bad off field behavior, how many can you find of the Pats other than Brady can't keep his dick in his pants? (he's a prick but there are other QB who are worse character wise)

The hate for the team members is unsubstantiated. Reminds me of idiotic vitriol of Nascar fans over Jeff Gordon.
