sableholic said:I don't think there is any other head coach job openings are there? I saw ATL got someone, what about Baltimore? I wouldn't be surprised if he takes Rex Ryan's job with Baltimore. He likes the area. Who knows though. I'd rather we just get rid of Al and keep GW as HC and bring in Zorn to be OC
I was looking at this saying, 'Wow they went way down low on the totem pole for this,' " Wiley said on ESPN's First Take Wednesday. "I say this because when I was in Jacksonville, Jack Del Rio was the defensive coordinator. ... Mike Smith, I won't say he was a puppet figure, but at the same time, Mike Smith wasn't the guy guys in the lockerroom respected. He wasn't the one you looked at and said, 'OK, he's our leader.' ... We just knew he was standing in front of the room while Jack Del Rio called the shots."
LiveWire said:At this point I'd even take Fassel as OC. Just make GW the head coach already! *facepalm*
Ouch....tmdorsey said:Hey Tamanon,
What do you think of this quote by Marcellus Wiley on Mike Smith

Tamanon said:Marcellus is a little bitter, Del Rio has his hands more in the offense. Keep in mind, Wiley was stuck as a backup at Jacksonville his couple years.

maybe i'll do the bracy walker thing and put the whole name back there. "CURTIS PENIS" on a bears jersey would rule
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Tampa Bay's A-Train has made his final run.
Six-time Pro Bowl fullback Mike Alstott announced his retirement after 12 seasons Thursday, saying goodbye to the NFL during a tearful news conference in a meeting room where the Buccaneers played a highlight film of some of his most memorable plays.
Gigglepoo said:Is Alstott a Hall of Fame FB? I never thought he was an exceptional blocker, but he's certainly the best running FB I've ever seen. He has a handful of the most memorable runs I've ever seen. Remember the goalline run against the Vikings where he was stonewalled at the line of scrimmage, regained his composure, and barreled into the endzone? He was a scary, beast of a man. The league is softer without him.
LiveWire said:Yea, or that goalline run against the Redskins where he was stonewalled at the line of scrimmage, tried to regain his composure, but was held out of the endzone? That play that cost us a home game in the playoffs in 2005?
Yea, that was great.

61. CB Kevin Dockery -- Giants
He was a starter prior to being injured late in the year and started again in the wild-card game. He is an average cover guy who might not get his job back.
58. FB Madison Hedgecock -- Giants
He is the Giants' starting fullback, but they do not run out of the I formation too often, so he is more productive on special teams.
43. OG Rich Seubert -- Giants
Seubert is a solid backup and spot starter. He is a smart, blue-collar player and a very good technician. You love him on your team because of his versatility.
If there's anything Giants fans know, it's FBs. Grew up watching Charles Way, one of the best FBs to ever play the game.soulja224466 said:i still cant fucking believe linehan dumped hedgecock for no reason.
sjax was so much more productive with hedgecock leading the way than out of singleback sets or with richard owens at h-back

That said, Hedge is a beast! I remember early in the year before he got really familiar with the O he'd take on and beat the first player he engaged then got to the second level and wouldn't know who to hit. :lol The guy is a pure-bred FB that just wants to smash people. Glad that the Giants locked him up for a long time.
