Song quality, like all thing in the Craig era Bond

1. Quantum of Solace
2. Casino Royale
3. Skyfall
I would rather say if it comes to the theme songs, then it would look like this:

1. Skyfall
2. Casino Royale
3. Quantum of Solace

If it is the actual films it would look like this:

1. Casino Royale
2. Quantum of Solace
3. Skyfall

But opinions and all.

I also like this rumored artist for the Spectre theme.

Fair enogh ... also sad that Alicia keys deserved a full song, not a shit duet with Jack White that has a voice that has NOTHING to do with james bond themes

Yeah for real. I read Jack White wrote Seven Nation Army as a James Bond riff. Take Seven Nation Army, switch out his voice for Alicia Keys, great Bond song.

You are all crazy. Skyfall is an awful movie with an awful contrived plot that makes no sense when even a little thought is put into it. CR is a nice movie but overly long for what it accomplishes, the poker scenes are disjointed and don't flow as a coherent story.

Whereas Quantum has the single best sequence in all the Bond movies. It has a plot that makes sense, characters have clear motivations and it deals with modern ideas of extreme corporatism which seeks to corrupt legitimate government.

I've never seen QoS argued for this passionately.

Thank you for giving me this unique human experience.

By the way, to those of you who are curious about SPECTRE, we are getting a new trailer tomorrow.

Also of anyone is interested in discussing all things SPECTRE, then the production thread is here

I've liked her work in the past, so this would be fine by me. The only theme I've liked from the Daniel Craig era was Skyfall. Was indifferent to You Know My Name, hated Another Way to Die. A Bond theme that had nothing to do with the title didn't work with All Time High (the absolute worst, though it was already accompanying a crappy movie with a stupid title), and it didn't work with those two either.

But eh, I haven't liked any of the Craig Bond films so far, and I personally don't like him as Bond either. As an actor, yes, as Bond, no thanks.

I always get a kick out of people defending QoS's absolute mediocrity, worst Bond theme ever and boring ass villains and scenarios. i mean, it's almost like the movie is actually worth watching

Am I in bizarro world

Shoulda been

For real. The girl practically auditioned with "Born to Die" and even said Bond women are an influence.

QoS is a fantastic epilogue to Casino Royale. As a stand-alone Bond movie, it's flawed but still good. Also: big LOL at that comment insinuating that Bond doesn't go for black artists, dat skewed perspective.

I like the choice of Ellie Goulding to sing the song for spectre.

Hopefully it will be as good and experimental as Modonna's "Die another day".

I've never seen someone argue for Madonna's Die Another Day.

Ugh, seems like Ellie Goulding is the default choice for pretty much every movie soundtrack right now... I was expecting someone much more personal or special for a Bond movie.

I like Ellie, but not for a Bond theme song. It needs to have grit and soul, and Ellie's voice just isn't that.

Yep.

I'll never understand the people who say Quantum of Solace is better than Skyfall. Even Craig says the script was "fucked".

The Home Alone section of Skyfall is probably one of the most cringe-worthy bit of any James Bond movie.

And Skyfall's plot pretty much ripped off mid-90s movies (Goldeneye, Mission Impossible). What happened to the list of agents?

I suggest watching the Honest Trailer for Skyfall. Pretty good summary of why that movie was hot garbage (thanks, Deakins).

Oh my god the opinions in this thread are making my brain bleed.

skyfall is a much more polished movie than quantum of solace but the ranking for me definitely goes

casino royale (da gawd) > quantum of solace > skyfall.

You can't have watched many Bond films to think the Skyfall defense is one of the most cringe-worthy bits. Lol.

I also don't need YouTube videos to form my opinion on the film. Thanks.

Raul Silva is not unlike Janus (Goldeneye).

The list of NATO Agents (pretty much a rip off of Mission Impossible) which was the main event of the first half of Act 1 was pretty much a MacGuffin... never heard of after the first 15-20 minutes of the movie.

QoS and Skyfall are surprisingly close after multiple viewings.

I have watched all Bonds. That Home Alone scene on its own is not the worst, I agree, but it just didn't fit with the rest of Skyfall IMO. I thought Acts 1 and 2 were quite decent, good in fact. But all that build up for a glorified Home Alone scene?

I was pleasantly surprised they didn't go for a completely mental, explosion-filled (though it has some) finale but that's my opinion.
