And this morning Ellie Goulding looked the most likely contender yet – as bookies suspended betting on the odds.

It comes just hours after the pop star dropped a pretty big hint that she would be singing on Spectre – a picture of herself leaving London's famous Abbey Road Studios, captioned "That's a wrap."

The OHMSS theme isn't good, "We Have All the Time in the World" is a great song but it ins't the theme in the standard Bond sense that it plays over the opening credits. OHMSS has some janky remix theme which really strains the og theme.

I don't like the film as a whole though so maybe my judgement is clouded, but the theme gives me PTSD flashbacks of "This didn't happen to the other fellow" which although horrid isn't even the worst line in the movie.

By the looks of it they seem to be doing a partial remake of OHMSS. If they are going to use the same ending to set up Blofeld for a sequel they will really need to put the work into Bond's relationship that they did in the original to make it matter.

Maybe the song will be a love ballad for the first time since "Octopussy"

Well, the problem with Tomorrow Never Dies' theme is they picked the wrong song since Sheryl Crow was a bigger name.

Surrender is great and the title sequence is even meant to sync up with it. They're always better off doing something the composer can quote in the score as the main theme, so it'd be nice if Newman co-composed it.

Man, not having Surrender as the title theme was such bullshit - K.D. Lang destroyed it with her performance. Still pissed about that one. >:-/
