Man, just read the premiere synopsis:

"Storm Front"
(SEASON PREMIERE!)

"Having mysteriously survived destroying the Xindi superweapon, a battered Archer awakes to find himself back on Earth in the 1940s in the custody of Nazi-uniformed aliens and SS agents, who have successfully helped Germany invade the United States, but when he finally breaks free, Archer joins forces with American resistance fighters Alicia Travers (guest star Golden Brooks), Sal (guest star Joe Maruzzo) and Carmine (guest star Steven R. Schirripa) to stop the aliens from destroying America and the future

Meanwhile, believing Archer sacrificed himself to save Earth, T'Pol and the battle-weary Enterprise crew attempt to figure out how to return to their own time, but when a near-dead crewman Daniels appears, he informs them that the only way to return to the 22nd century they know is to stop the aliens who are aiding the Nazis and restore the timeline. "

They've lost control of this whole "temporal cold war" bullshit, now it's just hokey and amateur. Aspiring high school sci-fi writers can come up with better material than this. I don't even think I'm gonna watch it this year, it will just make me angry and depressed.

Oh, and I'm surprised that Daniels isn't in the opening credits yet...

Enterprise has done far far more than jumped the shark.... it has fallen into the shark tank, pulled in the rest of the franchise and has been eaten by the shark.

The whole temporal cold war was assanine from the very beginning.

I hate the way they treat time travel like it's a banal trip down the shops.

As bad as Enterprise is sometimes, I always tell myself that it's not as worse as Crusade. :p

What's Crusade? Never heard of that show.

That horrible block it out of your mind Babylon 5 follow on. Now I have to work up my mental blocks toward that again.

Man, that was beyond terrible.

They should just kill the franchise. Time travel is overused by Star Trek. Cant they think of anything else?

I got the perfect unused idea. Ok, so Enterprise gets a holodeck right and (you're going to love this), the holodeck safeties go off and the holograms start hurting people. Yip unlike time travel, there's a star trek idea that hasn't been used before.

Or, if that's not your bag of tea, how about having all technical jargen re-explained as simple analogies? You know, like say the Enterprise has to stop a planet from becoming uninhabitable due to a build up of toxic gases and their solution is to use the deflector array to re-align the planet polls so the reflect the gases into space. Or some bs like that. It could be simplified for everyone with, "like letting air out of a balloon."

IIRC, this arc wraps up the temporal nonsense, so hopefully they'll do something interesting after that. Maybe Henry Winkler can take over as Captain and they can jump space sharks.

Or maybe they'll discover a quantum fold engine and meet up with the Zentradi or Invid. If so, I'll start watching again :)

So tell me, is Enterprise confirmed to be worse than Voyager?

They are at the same level of suckage, i.e. sucking enough that how much they suck no longer need be measured.

Yup, Enterprise is the first Star Trek about which I can say that I truly don't care. I haven't followed it for the last year and, from the sounds of things, I haven't been missing anything that might have redeemed the show. I think, for me, it's mostly the lame characters... I just really don't care about them; Archer, T-pol and the whole lot of them rub me the wrong way I guess. Anyway, it's pretty sad...

I'm someone who actually liked Voyager, but I really don't care for Enterprise. I'm not sure what that says, but it can't be good.

Actually, isn't Captain Kirk making an appearance next?

Give Voyager it's dues it has two stories I wouldn't hesitate to put in my top 10 Treks of all-time. Scorpions and Year of Hell. Sadly that was the zenith of the Berman / Bragga relationship and they should have quit while they were ahead.

JMS pitched a new series of Star Trek a while ago to Paramount, but they went ahead with Berman's Enterprise idea instead. :(

Confirmed. If anything Voyager had its moments here and there, even if it did pussify the Borg. Enterprise really hasn't been that great and the whole Zendi thing sucked from the very beginning. I haven't watched it since the second season.

Yep, Enterprise does suck more than Voyager. Even if I did like Voyager, the show as a whole wasn't as good as TNG or especially DS9. Voyager did have a great amount of excellent episodes during its run but the overall show ended up not being hot.

No, they just need to kill off Berman and Braga. They are the cancer that's causing this shit.

Voyager is the worst of the Trek series, even worse than Enterprise if only because it turned the Borg into pussies. The Borg used to be the super evil villain that only showed up once in a while to scare the shit out of everyone. On Voyager, they were the monster of the week and sucked.

Monster of the week and shape of the week... Borg cube, triangle, donut, dodecahedran, etc.

I would have love to see the tone TNG through DS9 might have taken if those parasites weren't replaced with the Borg.

OH MAN, all they need is Dean Stockwell to play the Daniels character and give him a little temporal tricorder to carry around and look things up in, and you would have Quantum Enterprise: The Temporal Cold War! He could bop around time in the Star Trek universe, righting wrongs to set time straight. That would be better than what they have now, if only for nostalgia reasons.

And that would be different from the current series, how?

Yeah, that's why I said with Scott and not some girl. I know they have a new series planned but I don't want to see his daughter leap around.

I'd take a sixth season of Quantum Leap with Sam's daughter searching for Sam over a new season of Enterprise anyday.

Basically what will happen is if the TV movie does well (on Sci-Fi), they'll turn it into a series which will basically be the sixth season of Quantum Leap.

How did the original QL end?

Sam leaped into himself on his birthday in bar. He learned that he was controlling his leaping, so from that point on he didn't leap into people but rather travelled in time as himself. He leaped and told Al's wife that Al was alive in Nam and to wait for him. The series ended with a title card explaining how Sam changed Al's future from that leap and that Sam never returned home.

I would have loved to have seen the tone of the shows had they not nixed the Federation Civil War, story.
