It all started Thursday when my computer started to reboot itself randomly. Then two strange things showed up in the task manager...

"dumprep 0 -k" in startup...and "devldr" in processes...I think. apparently these have to do with Windows shutting down if something majorly wrong happens...

Then, for a while on boot up it showed that "windows\system32\config\system" was missing or corrupt...then it gave the same message but this time with "\ntfs.sys"...

Now, it says the amount of system memory has changed. It brings up the 'safe mode/safe mode with networking/start normally/last known good configuration' screen but no matter what I choose, it reboots after that screen.

I've tried to repair using the setup cd, but it freezes either before it goes to the 'repair/setup/etc' screen or after I press 'r' to repair.

Is there anything I can do to repair it? or what?

Sounds like you may have a faulty stick of RAM, if you have more then 1, try running on 1 stick and see if you have any luck, if not try the other stick.
