England definitely deserved to win the match tonight. Penalty was soft, but the sheer amount of shirt pulling by Denmark that went unbooked evens it out.
Will be great to see one of the home nations win on Sunday. Come on England!

What's been weird about this tournament as an England fan is the sense of calm around the whole thing.
I think the only game where I was really on edge was the Germany game.
This team and Gareth are just phenomenal and I back them completely to get the job done against Italy, it'll be tough but I really think they can do it.

But I agree that England deserved the win all things considered.
I'd rather see England win the final against Italy, but I would bet a large sum of money (if I were prone to such things) that they will not.

Sterling got hit, most of the angles are difficult to notice but it was 100% a penalty. You can see his hamstring shaking after he got hit by the defender's knee.

Everyone dives. We don't have a problem with that. What is annoying is that Italy dive and *then* roll around on the floor screaming and clutching their faces as if they've been sniped. They don't just try and win a foul (which everyone does). They actively try and get players sent off.
They also mob the ref and wave imaginary cards.

I don’t agree since Kane won that ball through a foul, but I also don’t think that England didn’t deserve to go through. I just feel that we don’t know how things would have gone in penalties or perhaps England would have scored in the next chance. Also, England has been consistently good for a while now, and this is a reward to that consistency.
I just feel that officiating is broken in football and every now and then it rears it’s ugly head. When it goes my way, I also don’t give a fuck.

Which team dives the best on sunday? Both of these teams have done some sad dives / time wasting this tourney. I don't know who I'll be cheering against the most on Sunday. I think Italy because nobody wastes time like them and they pretty much invented diving (Commedia dell'arte). See Immobile's digusting behaviour against Belgium as a prime example of the state of football these days.

I can’t see Italy not getting dizzy against a team with good positioning and that can get within shooting range with two passes. We’ve seen them taking a goal from Spain just like that.
Also, Italy has a long history of disappointing finals and I just don’t see them giving it all and not play it defensively for the whole match.

Indeed he was fishing for it but Denmark been playing another kinda sport from the beginning with all their pulling and dirty gameplay. There is only one angle that makes the penalty clear and obvious and it's zoomed in behind sterling from the middle of the stadium where you can easily see the impact and how his hamstring was shaking due to the knee hit.
Now it's time to sink the Italians!

Ashamed of this referee being dutch.

I am not even emotionally involved in either team. Tbh I am actually a huge fan of the premier league and english football. I watch it much more than the dutch league.
But you are honestly unreasonable or blinded by being handed a victory if you genuinely think booing during the national anthem, the laser pointer in the face of the danish keeper during the penalty, the british diving and the referee decisions were okay.
From an outsiders objective perspective yesterday wasn't a good look for english football. That is just my 2cents.
No need to respond with another cringey one liner or gif please. It makes people look extremely stupid, because they seemingly have nothing fruitful to say, but would rather dodge and ignore the issue.
