I just did a search on Steam and it took me all of two searches to find one. Monday Night Combat. The first game I searched for was Braid, but that does have a demo even if it did come out a month after the game was available.
And MNC has had at least 2 'free weekends' which I would class as a demo.

You're an ill-informed troll. That I have seen evidence for.
Even if I am WRONG on things I believe to be true but cannot find google links for (and apparently you fucking love your google research...) you are still ignoring the substantive part of my argument and instead focussing on ad hominem;
All modern gaming platforms have some form of downloadable content that must be provided by the platform owner.
All modern gaming platforms have an online gameplay component to their service.
All modern gaming platforms
except for the 360 provide these features for free; both downloading of content and the full access to the entirety of a game a consumer has purchased, online play and all.
I'm sure you are going to attempt to make a qualitative distinction here (b-b-but live is the best!) but given those facts there are three conclusions you can draw;
1) Everybody except MS is fundamentally inept at the basic tenets of business (making a profit from the business they are in).
2) MS are fundamentally incompetent at one of the core aspects of their own business (where they cannot keep costs as low as their competitors)
3) MS are greedy, and not only demand subscription charges but sell advertising to leverage its consumers as a demographic beyond the internal promotions you see on competing services (the 'whats new for you on our store' type banners).
I know which of those three I consider to be the most likely.
