Looks pretty cool. I still don't see it replacing my 6.7 powerstroke yet to tow my 10,000 lb RV.

One day soon it will be near unlimited range with enough batteries and solar in that configuration.

That is if the economy doesn't crash before that point.

Cool? Yes.

Practical as a utility 4wd? I have questions - what about a roof rack on that? Why have plastic lights at the back top where you lean loads on e.g. large timber on an angle if you don't have a roof rack.

This seems like a road "look at me" truck rather than a functioning working vehicle, even casually working for home projects would be a pain with this vehicle (at first glance). Also this thing looks like a Jeep and the rims suck. Everything else looks pretty brilliant and I'm happy to see more competition in the EV space too. Choice for consumers and a competitive market are all good things.

The electrification in the suv/pickup segment makes the most sense. Weight doesnt matter and this way, you can put many batteries in the car to get a lot of mileage. Cooling is not a big problem either, because performance will not be used like with a tesla or taycan.

Everything thats heavier than 1800kg should have some form of hybrid system or go fully electric.

The Hummer looks pretty cool and might be great to drive.

Here in my country they say:

big cars = small pipi

I own a bicycle
My condolences to you.

Looks cool. The cyber truck looks terrible no one is buying that. But I will buy the inevitable Tesla dip when it fails.

With over 1000HP and 11,500 ft/lbs torq it can tow 5 ton trailer and your Powerstroke truck. :pie_astonished:

At 1000hp , 0-60 3seconds, Throw in the crab walk.. oof GM did a good job. Not amazing mileage but not too shabby either. really digging the design of it. Also able to throw on 37s with no rubbing. we will see how it does in real world.

That's one big ass car.

Hummers are pretty rare here where i live, not really a fan but my best friend loves them.

The lifespan of the Hummer brand was pretty crazy - from a strictly military vehicle to a crappy SUV gas guzzler for soccer moms to a 100k+ EV.

I just want a Electric hot hatchback.
Why do they have to keep making giant cars.

:(
There are plenty of small electric cars here in Europe - look up Opel Corsa-e or Peugeot e-208. More powerful cars are also coming soon, Renault is planning to electrify its next Clio RS for example. Ford is thinking of something similar for its Focus RS replacement.

So if cars=pipi, does riding a bike mean you have no dick?

Not really. It's just a saying that implies very big/very large cars are the result of inferiority complexes, where the buyer tries to compensate his shortcomings by having a huge car.

Usually associated with pipi size, for the laughs, but can also be said about short men.

It could also be a product of Brazil's huge disparity of outcome across the classes... It's almost cultural (and stupid as fuck) that poorer people will drown themselves in debt to buy a car, and, instead of buying popular (and cheaper/functional) models, lots will go the extra "fuck it" and buy stupidly expensive (and larger) cars... they live in precarious conditions, but hey, "I own an expensive car"... it's sad, actually.

Looks really cool, but my next truck will likely be an ecodiesel or Cummins 2500. I can’t have <300 miles to recharge when towing.

Or aspirational. Not everyone wants to live cheap their entire life.

Yeah, it's going to get better but the small electric car aren't on par with their ICE counterpart just yet.
I didn't know Renault and Ford were going to make these, i'll take a look (y)

Looks alright, but the cyber truck looks way cooler.
Talking about looks only ofcourse, i have no idea what either one does except for the cybertruck tanking iron balls to the windows.

Yeah but what kind of bicycle?

Enduro carbon frame dual suspension hydraulic disk brakes drop post?

There's pp measurement in bike world as well. :messenger_beaming:

Nope, it's a bare bones sturdy frame one. Single gear.

If it's going too fast the brakes can be heard from half a mile.

I like simplicity.

I was excited for the announcement, was hoping for something to seriously compete with Tesla. GM failed, the lowest tier Hummer competes with the highest tier Cybertruck (Cybertruck starts at $39,900 and goes to $69,900 for the tri motor). Cybertruck has over 500 miles range on the tri motor and over 300 on the dual, Hummer has 350 on the $100,000+ truck. They even copied ludicrous mode, calling it Watts to Freedom. Funny that they're putting the $113k version out in the fall of 2021 when the Cybertruck is due, the lower models are way out.
