Am I reading this right? All the mecha animation is CG? What happened to Evangelion man. This is what happens when you don't complain about bad CG Angels.
Also, lol at those spoilers.
They're all CG? I thought everyone complained about bad CG everything on the previous films. :|Am I reading this right? All the mecha animation is CG? What happened to Evangelion man. This is what happens when you don't complain about bad CG Angels.

The wait's going to suck. It's definitely not all CG.
As somebody who hates the original series but digs the new films, 3.0 was a good time. A lot to take in though.

Where did it come from though? If this is the 1st 6 minutes, it's like they're skipping a huge amount of story to get to that point from the state of Unit 01 in Eva 2.0.

As it always, always happens with this franchise... that or 'vice versa', were some people say this is closer to a really forced fan-fiction. No middle-of-the-road opinion here... and I love that! Insanity for all!I actually find the real spoilers really underwhelming; way too normal and straightforward. Fake, batshit insane spoilers were more fun.
Stop being so tsundere Femme :lWhat exactly do you find so appealing about the new films? :|
I was precisely thinking earlier if commenting about that specific track given the different nomenclature they gave it! It comes from the Japanese film The Man Who Stole The Sun:Stop being so tsundere Femme :l
And Yamashita is the best track. I was giddy when when that ended up being the track used in the Blu Ray menu![]()

That's rather in-depth. How did people learn that those Kare Kano songs were originally meant to be used in the Evangelion TV series? Many were! Below are all the BGM theme names from Evangelion: 2.0, as seen on the original sound track release:
On that list, we have the annotations for each where "2EM" is 'Second Evangelion Movie' followed by a number that denotes the order of the composition as it appears on the film. After the underscore and talking about the part of the alphanumeric code I can understand, it figures the original source work of the composition re-arranged, with "KK" signaling tracks from His and Her Circumstances or 'KareKano' (while "EM" makes reference to the 'First Evangelion Movie', and "E" to an old series' theme rescued for this film but not for the previous one). "F" is final or fin. "A","B" and "C" mark different variations inside each hierarchy but, as in the case of His and Her Circumstances compositions, this can correspond to the exact same variation letter used for the original track, as Mr. Sagisu has been using this type of nomenclature since time and time ago.
For example; the track 19 called '2EM20_KK_A09_Kuriya' is based on 'KareKano's 'ichi-go ichi-e' (一期一会<A-9>, as I mentioned the same variation it figures on one OST of 'KareKano'), this is an expression translated habitually on this context as 'Treasure Every Moment'.
It is interesting to say that apparently those same tracks from His and Her Circumstances re-used were supposed to be on the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series, but it was decided not to include them. I don't know why.
Kare Kano also reused footage from Eva if I remember correctly. The first (only?) one that comes to mind is the explosion around episode thirteen or twelve or eleven with the loli. That's rather in-depth. How did people learn that those Kare Kano songs were originally meant to be used in the Evangelion TV series?
I'll try to find you the source, but I think it was Mr. Sagisu himself who explained it.That's rather in-depth. How did people learn that those Kare Kano songs were originally meant to be used in the Evangelion TV series?
That sounds good, right?http://animeanime.jp/article/2012/11/18/12099.html
First box office results are in, but not the national total for the first day. Instead the report right now only covers Shinjuku Wald 9, which is the cineplex which had the midnight opening for the film.
There are 9 screens in the cineplex, and from midnight until 6am on the opening day, it made 7,115,900yen with 4,087 tickets sold. The first day total at the cineplex for Eva 3.0 is 25,675,800yen with 15,290 tickets sold. All 9 screens at the cineplex was completely sold out for each of the 8 screenings during the day for each screen.
This is what was worrying me about all those spoilers. There didn't seem to be enough balance between the character development and the action parts. Strangely, I think 1.0 is the only movie that reaches a perfect compromise. There are some ways it could have been better, but I don't want to blame too much on the movie when my poor Japanese comprehension got in the way an awful lot. I think the pacing is kind of unbalanced. There's nonstop action in the beginning, nonstop action in the end, and a lot of very introspective stuff through the middle section. I think some parts of the beginning could have used some room to breathe.

Who says it isn't? ( ¯◡◡¯·)I feel like the TV series hit upon such a great, special balance of action, plot progression and character development over the course of its run that this whole Rebuild business is superfluous. Even 1.0 felt compressed and lacking in depth compared to the same portion of the series (gee, I wonder why).
Should have made a sequel instead

I think a film about decades older versions of the surviving characters going through normal human problems, in a style like Anno's live action work, would be totally fascinating.Who says it isn't? ( ¯◡◡¯·)
I got 99 problems, but a GIANT REI HEAD ain't o--... oh yeah, about that...I think a film about decades older versions of the surviving characters going through normal human problems, in a style like Anno's live action work, would be totally fascinating.
Yeah, I know it's a terrible idea

Any news on how long for an American shop to dub and release?
God dern it I wanted to seeeeeeToo late, it's taken down!
Wasn't there someone who said it was arriving 2013?Early 2014 if previous timelines are any indicator.
The new theme song sounds really sad, so it'll probably work great as the credits roll. Depression total.A million thanks guys! So much emotionz from the leads in 15 seconds. Hmmm at that Utada single. I was mostly ambivalent towards Heart Station but Beautiful World really grew on me due to being the Rebuild theme. Guess i'll check it out in iTunes
