Maybe for live streaming video chat like the demo they had at the Feb 21st conference.
Which is kinda cool.
didn't noticed the Wii U logo before.

If I was going to live stream a game I was playing I wouldn't want people looking at my face.
Sounds like a lot of opinion and very few facts to me. Not going to argue with you, buddy. The modifications are not that big of a deal and the 8 core jaguar is nothing special and very small compared to past top consoles. The APU will actually save money because the motherboard will be a lot simpler and cooling will be much simpler also. The reason they can do APU is because how modest the CPU and GPU are. This is not like the Cell or Xenos which were both huge, expensive and cutting edge.
Fair enough but some of us might have preffered that the classic controller be the optional oneI don't find it surprising that some known Xbox one fans here say that it should have been bundled.
It's like buying a car and feel disappointed that you don't have to buy a "bundled" cd player even though you'll be always playing MP3s.
Choice is always good for the consumer and unless you are someone who loves playing games by waving his arms and body,i can't see how making Kinect mandatory is good for someone that detests motion gaming.
Same goes for PSeye,Move etc.Give me a controller and that's all i need. Why should i have to pay for something that i'll never use?I'm sure there's a huge number of people who thinks so as well.
It may be a capable piece of hardware, but its one I want no part of. I have no interest in Kinect gaming or any camera gaming. I used my Kinect for all of maybe 1 hour in 2 years. It collected more dust than my Wii. The kids would fire it up and play it, but only when they had new friends over to show it off and it never held their attention for more than 30 minutes tops. I want controller in my hand, sitting and relaxing on big comfy couch. I don't want to be jumping around my living room like a monkey on crack.
You only need one camera though, and if that is included with every PS4, it would mean that you should have one even if you buy a 2nd or 3rd Dualshock 4.Comes with every system.
Does not come with every Dual Shock.
That's Ustream icon. lol

This actually kinda pushes me more toward pc only. Ps4 isnt going to have much to distinguish itself from pc at this rate except for the ram. If the exclusives are awesome then of course I'll be there but I was really excited for move adoption this gen and this kinda kills that.

I still believe the camera will be included. They learned their mistakes last gen when it came to consumer fragmentation. Not to mention it renders the light on the controller pointless for the most part.
So here's my belief:
PS4
Wired Headset
Eye Toy
DS4
$399.00
I received an NES in 1992 and primarily gamed on Nintendo systems thru Gamecube and DS. I started playing Halo 2 in 2005, and since then, I've primarily played Halo games until now. With Destiny coming to PS4, comparing currently anticipated features against those of Xbox One, the PS4 looks to be my next primary console.I don't think I understand this. Or maybe I do and I don;t understand how you got to that.

That's not to say I didn't play on other hardware during these periods, by the way. I had a Commodore 64, Sega Genesis, PC, Sony Playstation, PS2, and most recently, a PS3. I very much dislike the ways Microsoft exploits its loyal customers, specifically Halo fans.
Would suck if true. Sony is never going to get widespread dev support for the camera if it's not a pack in thing.

and it looks almost the same as the german metro/subway

Waggle =/= innovation.Big hit to any type of innovation.
A camera never did bring anything of interest in my gaming so I will be happy not to pay for it!
Waggle =/= innovation.
Waggle =/= innovation.
They could be talking about the camera not being packed with the controllers ... Ya know... How if you buy a controller (stand alone) it won't come with the camera, but the system still can and probably will come with.... Working retail I see this a good bit with items.
I think it's a win win for Sony to bundle the PS4 Eye.
1) Customers
By having Sony subsidize the cost of the PS4 Eye. We would only be paying an extra $0-$20 depending on how much Sony wants to take a loss (assuming it costs Sony $20 to make one). So customers wanting a Eye won't have to spend an extra $30-$40 buying an Eye separately.
2) Developers
Developers will know 100% that there's a Eye for every PS4 sold. Meaning that they can include Eye features, or make move games knowing that everyone has one.
3) Sony
They may be losing money up front but they will earn it back from game licenses, more [motion] games being made for PS4, more games sold and more move controllers sold. It is easier for customers to swallow the pill to buy a Move controller(s) instead of also needing to buy a PS4 Eye.
It would also mean that the PS4 matches Xbox One features. So no/less Kinnect "exclusive" 3rd parties games.
You're under the incorrect assumption that ps4eye can match Kinect in features and as easy to develop for. My guess is that even if the ps4 eye is included most 3rd parties won't code for it because Kinect will be both more capable and easier to implement in games. Thus that would be $20 Sony throws down the drain and with 100 million consoles that adds up. If consumers want it let them purchase on their own dime.

I think you're under the incorrect assumption that developers are going to use the kinect in any meaningful way with core games. It will be stupid stuff like voice recognition and basic body tracking... and it will mostly be dumb, much like tacked on six axis stuff was with the ps3.
There *may* be some innovation in the kinect only space as it does seem like a more powerful piece of tech. But there's no way multiplats will be doing anything more than rudimentary things so they can check a box on their feature list. Which the eye can do.
Which, for the record, I DO NOT WANT, so personally i'm quite pleased to not have it forced on me.
