What is it about fighting game Native American designs never wearing shirts or having unbuttoned vests?
Better question here is, when was the last time EVO didn't give a truly new game a slot in the EVO following it's release? Skullgirls maybe, which is sort of a special case?
I had to walk out before Blazblue and apparently missed something incredible- are the matches going to get posted anywhere afterwards?
It's going to come down to each game's actual reception and tournament showing/strength, along with developer support. Plus as we saw with KOF, being a crowd favorite from the previous year(s) helps as well..
Unless Blazblue representation drops off like a rock naturally in the next half-year, there's no way it isn't coming back.

What made Skullgirls a special case?
To be fair, that version was hot garbage..

It wasn't that long ago, Continuum Shift Extend didn't make it in 2012.
Completely new, no updates.Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown ?
Digital, essentially indie release, super niche. Unlike retail games from established pubs, it's not guaranteed to pull sufficient numbers. It's like expecting Yatagarasu to get a slot next year. What made Skullgirls a special case?
It was actually the best version of the game. And the most balanced.
Yes, but this is assuming that reception for P4AU and its competitive showings are great, too. Today's BBCP showing was better than last year's P4A, but the latter's was pretty good, too. Maybe it's really just these intense BBCP matches that could make it return for Evo 2015, but I think it would be weird if P4AU wasn't a part of next year's list. Xrd seems like a given, and I don't know if they're accommodating enough to have three ASW games.

.
Two games would already be a long shot. The EVO staff is really convinced that there can be only one "anime game" (sigh) at a time.
Skullgirls was a mediocre game at first.. Limited characters and every combo was a ToD movie and were piss easy to do.. It wasn't even a real fighter then.. A poverty version of SF xT in terms of reception..

Why is Justin so free at this game...?
My salty bucks.
Wait, is SG better now?
