Stages are hugely important in Smash. Platform placement, stage size, and blast zones (the area you can go off-screen and still survive) are all really important to match-ups and certain characters. Why not just put random stage select?

Because certain characters have advantages depending on the stage.
Stage slection is extremely import
There's only 5 or 6 viable stages to play on due to bans on wwalkoffs, stage hazards, etc.
You probably don't want to play on Pokefloats for example....
Because counter-picks of characters and stages matter.
Because the stages are all different and actually matter
Juicebox was commentating the KOF pools.
He is all that was needed for the Top 8.
It is not a hype commentary unless you get BOTH Juicebox and Hellpockets. At that point people in the audience start having panic attacks and forgetting to breathe. Hype incarnate.
I think the loser.Got it, but who choses the Stages, the P1?
KoF pools had great commentary though. It's all about who the community has access to in terms of enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals. Capcom games generally have the widest audience to choose from. Smash has prog, who is a top tier commentator, but he can't necessarily commentate for KoF.
