He does play Tekken, or used to. Funny thing is he was mostly using his IRL name, Sayed Hashim, while playing Tekken.

My guess? No. Landsdown and Boom have alluded to continued "support" for MKXL in the wake of Injustice announcement. I would assume that means balance changes and another ESL Season and most likely a little extra $ to community pots and at EVO.
