Honestly at this point with both Smash and SF communities being so big due to new games being out, it might be best to split the events again.

We can all huddle back together for warmth when Capcom and Nintendo give up again

I tend to agree.

I know it would upset a lot of people. But there are so many games that deserve a spot on the big stage, so many SF and Smash players, and only 3 days Evo runs. Top Smash players at least, already complain about having to play most of the tournament in 2/3.

Maybe eventually they can take Thursday too or something to give more breathing room. I like the idea of it kinda splitting into two events that are close together, but I can't imagine any logistical way every game can still feel like a main event, can't imagine renting venue(s) for more days is financially appealing to Evo either.
